“Bored reception staff, average room, we will not rush back here”

We found the reception staff were unhelpful (and kinda pompous).

We were not offered any choice of accommodation or price, we were told a very high price - take it or leave it - in a most unwelcoming manner. This was not on a holiday/special function time in town/weekend, just a regular quiet week night.

We prefer to avoid this town, now, on business or other trips.

“Very basic accommodation”

This site has motel rooms (10) and cabins (11). I stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin (combined kitchen/dining/lounge, bedroom & bathroom). The air conditioner struggled to work but the cabin was clean although there were mosquitos in the cabin - insect repellent supplied. A plus was the full kitchen so meals could be cooked. The minus was the railway line 5 metres away with trains passing at various times during the night (blowing their whistles as they passed). Reception had restricted office hours & were too casual (lady in her pyjamas at 8am).

The review dated March 28, 2008 did not mention that we have 15 cabins all with varied levels of accommodation and priced accordingly. We cater for trades people who require basis accommodation at a budget price through to new Villa units for couples and familys who want more luxury appointments of which our rates reflect this. When an enquiry is made for accommodation we always describe in full what is available and the customer makes a reservation having been given full details of each cabin or villa.
Our reception hours are 8am - 9:30pm. If someone knocks on the door before 8am then surely they must expect things to be alittle different. It is difficult to please everyone however given our continued support by other regular clients we believe our Motel/Villa complex is very good value.
