Burg Wernberg is an amazing hotel and restaurant. Yes, you are staying in a castle. Service from reservations through check-out is the quality you expect from R&C. Our room was a two level suite: comfortable, quiet, superb views across the valley and of the inner courtyard. Rooms are spread across two wings of the castle. The Kastell gourmet restaurant serves innovative Michelin star cuisine. Service is among the best we have from wine recommendations to table service. The second restaurant which is also the breakfast room, serves local cuisine with flair, and again, service is top notch. The Wintergarten (Konrads's the second restaurant) has a view over the moat. For the area, there is the porcelain route, glass route and other touring options. Simply put, this is a truly amazing hotel worth a multiple night stay.

We got married there...it was better than we could have dreamed. The staff catered to our every need and we felt spoiled the entire time. Everyone was friendly and the service was perfect. The food was amazing! We cannot wait to return for our anniversary!

“Superb”
We stayed for 10 days. I went to the Bayreuth festival (an hour away) while my wife enjoyed the spa. Well appointed and the upmarket restaurant is a two hatter. The service was outstanding.

This is the best Hotel I have vere stayed. It is a romantic spot north of Regensburg and a Relais Chateaux Hotel. The service, rooms and setting is exceptional and the Kastell Restaurant has 2 Michelin Stars that are well deserved.
Whether Conference, Wedding or culinary weekend its just amazing. We visited many times and for our 10th Anniversary we booked the whole castle.
We eaten at Gordon Ramsey or Auberge d'Ill, but The Kastel is the best. We stayed at the Ritz, Glenegales, Raffles Hotel and others but the setting, service and attentiion to details at the Hotel Wernberg is unbeatable.
