Loved this guesthouse. The family was pleasant, informative, and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and filling. I highly recommend eating dinner in the restaurant in the evening. The traditional meals were excellent, as were the pizzas. I was very impressed, especially for the price and location. Additionally, the rooms were beautifully done and very clean. We were both sad to leave the hotel when our stay was over.

The location is great- it is a few minute walk to the entrance of Europa Park. It is also right down the street from an Schlecker, in case you need anything.

Overall a memorable and pleasant experience. I am so glad that we chose to stay here over one of the more expensive resort hotels. Cannot wait to go back!

I stayed at Gaestehuas Schmidt for one night in October with a friend, while visiting Europa Park.
We arrived early and were met by a friendly member of staff who advised us the room was not ready but told us what time we could check in.
The guesthouse location is prefect for Europa Park - about a five minute walk to the main entrance and the prices are good compared to other nearby accomodation.
We later checked in and were directed to our room, which was clean and a reasonable size. The bathroom was quite small, but again was very clean and was fine for a short stay.
The public areas where nice, with a nice outdoor area and pool, along with a nice bar and restaurant area.
Staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay here again as a budget alternative to the fairly expensive Europa Park hotels.

Stay there for one night during winter visit to Europa Park.

Fresh and relative rich breakfast.
Can be a reasonable alternative for luxurious (but much more expensive) Europa Park resorts.
