“"The Cats' Meow"”

What a charming B&B in Watkins Glen....perfect when touring the wineries. Sally is a wonderful host, making sure all her guests' needs are met. The rooms are quite quaint and each bedroom has its own bathroom (not necessarily ensuite). What can I say about the breakfast except....DELICIOUS! Can't wait to return again.

Room Tip: Don't reserve here if you are allergic to cats as they are on the premises.

“Wonderful first stay at a B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Friends of ours suggested a B&B for our wine tasting weekend. I was very pleased with Marmalade Cat. I really didn't know what to expect. This place was very warm and the innkeepers were very friendly and knowledgable of the area. Sally was very interesting and answered our many questions about the area and how she came to this area from England. Sally's Breakfast's were fresh and delicious!!! I wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of the three rooms here. We can't wait to return next year.

“Quaint, warm & welcoming. A true gem.”

Stayed at the Marmalade Cat B&B while touring the Seneca Wine Trail with friends. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel at home. The B&B is clean and well kept. If it weren't for the friendly cat that waits to greet all that enter you would never know that there are any pets. The hostess, Sally, is very charming and friendly. Both mornings she cooked us a wonderful breakfast. If you have any special needs for your meals don't worry. Upon our arrival she inquired to be sure. She didn't just assume that what she had planned would suffice. The Marmelade Cat is conveniently located in Watkins Glen at the bottom of Seneca Lake. This made touring the wine trail very convenient. We chose the wineries on the eastern side and have already reserved the same weekend next year at the Marmalade Cat for the western side of the lake. I would highly recommend this B&B if staying in Watkins Glen. This was our 1st B&B stay and we were not disappointed.

“B&B with Great Personality, Yummy Breakfast, BEST CAT EVER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

We stayed at the Marmalade cat for two nights Labor Day weekend. It was a lovely, quirky B&B with delicious food and fun decor. The innkeepers were incredibly friendly and helpful. The B&B is located in an ideal place - blocks from the downtown shopping and Watkins Glen State park and Seneca Lake...about a five minute walk to all. Also great location for access to wineries on both side of the lake.

We came up for a wedding and would definitely stay again - it had much more personality than a normal hotel and the breakfast would have cost $20+ per person if we would have gotten it in a restaurant - making the stay an extraordinary value.

Also the cat decor isn't overbearing...but they do have the FRIENDLIEST cat I have ever met...literally - and I have two friendly cats at home...See pics below - the cat only wants to be on a lap...i have never seen anything like it...Even my boyfriend the dog lover loved this cat.

“Lovely quaint place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

We stayed for one night in July, having driven from JFK Airport, we unfortunately arrived very late, but Sally was there waiting to welcome us with a friendly face and a welcome drink. The room was wonderful, like a little piece of Victorian England, and very comfortable. The breakfast next morning was delightful and extremely nice.
We have stayed in Watkins Glen before, its a lovely place to stay with plenty to see and do. Would definitely stay at the Marmalade Cat again, thank you Sally.
