We stayed one night at the Watertown Hampton Inn on January 6, 2012. The first impression is the lasting one, the hotel was clean to a perfection. We were welcomed by a pleasant female and completed our check-in in a timely manner and given the necessary information to access the free wi-fi in room.
We had a double room on the second floor facing the I81, and no noise from highway. There was a small fridge and microwave, desk and coffee maker in room. The room /bathroom was clean and attractively decorated. The beds were comfortable and as I recall, the duvet covers are laundered for each new guest. The business centre has two computers with a printer all set up in a glassed-in boardroom . The rooms were all non-smoking and no pets allowed, hence no barking dogs to keep one awake.
The breakfast area in off hours has fruit, coffee, tea, cookies, popcorn and other goodies available. We had breakfast a few minutes before opening time at 6 in the morning. This will be one of the best free breakfasts you will run into. An assortment of hot and cold items to suit all tastes. Again the lady who gets up early to prepare and re-plenish the breakfast items was pleasant and friendly.
There was one minor issue, a guest on the floor decided to place their baby's smelly [--] diaper in a waste container at the elevator for all to smell. (I have to wonder what they do at home.) Hotel staff removed the offending item promptly once alerted.
Based on our experience of the four of us, I have no hesitation of recommending this property to others or stying here again. You have a management and staff meeting the needs of the travelling public to a high standard.
