Calodyne Sur Mer is fantastic and definitely a must when staying in Mauritius. From our arrival until our departure everything was amazing!!! Top class service, warm staff and a scenic location. The food was delicious too with a wide variety to choose from. The fresh rolls are the best. Wish I could have some now :)

It was my first visit to this island and was pleasantly surprised! I have been to other Indian Ocean islands like the Seychelles and Maldives, but the friendliness and hospitality of the Mauritian people were outstanding.

We were travelling as a family, me, my sister and her two children and my mother. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 11h at night and was a day late because of the cyclone that hit the island. Check in was quick and we were taken directly to the restaurant to have a meal although dinnertime was already finished. The staff there were great and even offer to make something different for the children.

The food was substantial, a mix of eastern and western flavours. The chef was always about to see if everything was ok.
The beach is not huge but very intimate and there are enough sunloungers for everyone.

The hotel has a clientele of 75% of French people and although we are South Africans and the entertainment is done in French, they went out of their way to make as feel welcome!
This hotel caters for children and went out of their way to entertain the kids.
Now let me come to the animation team, you guys are always ready for a chat and never without a smile!! Dennis, Rocco and Damien(sorry if I misspelled your names) are really a asset to this hotel. I couldnt believe the bad review I have read about Dennis, he has a great sense of humour, always played with my sister's kids and go out of his way to make us feel welcome. He even translate for me what was said in French! Thank u for teaching me a few French words although I couldnt remember a thing.

To come to a conclusion, I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels and the reception we received at calodyne sur mer were far better than some of the hotels I have stayed in.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, outstanding entertainers, all added together resulting in a great break.

It was our 2nd visit to this fantastic hotel; upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Haroun, the Manager & Stella with her lovely smile.Compared to the 1st time we were quickly showed to our room after a refreshing cocktail. Haroun was seeing to it that everything was perfect. Thank you so much for the outstanding service provided to us.

We were shocked to read below comments about Denis! He is such a funny guy with a great sense of humour and he contributes a lot in making our stay memorable. It is normal that Denis entertains the guests, that's his role! If he was disturbing, should have let him know... While we first visit the hotel in January he was the one to make us feel really welcome, he proposed several activities such as Volleyball, Aquagym, bocciball, Canoe, Pedal boat which were all offered by the hotel. He also convinced us to participate in the Karaoke, which was greatly appreciated.

The Framissima team plays a big role and has contributed a lot to make our stay so wonderful. They made us feel at home! Special thanks to Denis, Le Blanc, Laulau & Laurent.

We will definitely be back again and will of course recommend your hotel to friends and family.

We have just returned from Mauritius after spending 15 most wonderful days at Calodyne Sur Mer Hotel. We checked in on 24/12/2011 and checked out on 8/1/2012. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the manager Mr Haroun and Stella who presented us with chilled towels and cocktails to relax us before a speedy check-in. All our luggage were taken care of as we were shown our room, and what a room we were given. Beautifully decorated and flower petals placed in it with complimentary fruit basket and alcohol free champagne. My wife was taken aback by the lovely decor. The room was clean with no bad smell and the view was incredible. The kids couldn't wait to get in the warm water of the lagoon and the beach was clean and accommodating.

The hospitality of the staff is excellent and we really felt at home in our time spent there.
Any information or assistance we needed like excursions etc were taken care of by reception without delay.
The food was great and the gala dinners on Christmas and New Years eve was outstanding.
The party on new years eve was the best ever.
The Framissima entertainment team is warm and friendly and special thanks to Dennis,Le Blanc, Kinsley and Laulau for making us feel welcome even though we are not french speaking. The kids loved them tremendously.
The hotel is well located and for a three star establishment is good value for money.
Has a warm feel and is family frienly. Free wifi at bar area and table tennis, snooker, kayaking etc are available.

Everything about our trip was positive and i would strongly recommend visiting Calodyne Sur Mer. We definitely will return there soon.
