Visiting from southern california for a baseball week at Cooperstown, our family had a great stay at this private location. Our family of 7 had lots of room and enjoyed playing board games, the large patio, and of course the BBQ and the secluded area. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a great welcome and intro to the location. We were quite busy with baseball and site seeing, I regret we didn't have more time to do some hiking, boating, and/or bike riding. The area is quite beautiful! Thanks, it met all of our expectations, a family memory we will not forget!

What a wonderful stay at Comfort Woods, Rick and Cheri are great hosts. The accomodations were perfect. We slept 7 of us very comfortably. We expecially loved the sunrises off the deck and the hiking to the waterfalls were perfect to keep the kids entertained.
The drive to Cooperstown was very short and not bad onto Cooperstown Dream Park.

The nearby lake was beautiful , so clear and easy to kayak on.
Thanks Rick for the welcome basket of goodies, you thought of everything . We will definitely be back , if we ever make it to upstate New York again.

I stayed at the Comfort Woods Guesthouse last spring. It is a wonderful place to stay. Its eclectic decor, both indoors and outdoors, promotes an atmosphere of intrigue, timelessness and adventure. I went with a group of friends. We had fun grilling on the spacious deck, bicycling the country roads, hiking the terrain that James Fenimore Cooper wrote about, and touring the popular village of Cooperstown. It is a great getaway.

We stayed at comfort Woods in the summer of 2007. We especially liked visiting of the deck, day or night. There is enough room for a party of 6-10, with views to the woods and across the valley. The kitchen was well equipped. The whole place has a comfortable atmosphere. The shower was positively was unique.

The location is very good. We also took some beautiful road bike rides in the surrounding area. There were some of the prettiest views in lake country. You can pick your route, flat, hilly or mixed. I'll bet the owner could recommend route if you wished. In addition, we went kayaking and canoeing in one near by lake. That was great. Lastly, we went to Cooperstown which is readily accessible.
