This is the second time we stayed here. We enjoyed it very much. Restaurants and the harbor at your doorstep. Our ground floor King room was spacious and included a dog bowl and dog treats. Rooms are not plush but bed and furnishings were very comfortable. Room is a little dark because only one large window but we didn't spend that much time in the room. I recommend this for travelers who like to park their car and wander around historical areas.

Restaurants: Tin Pan Galley is great, they allowed our dog to sit with us under the gazebo and their food was incredible. The Brewery next door also has terrific food and allowed our dog on the front patio.

Our sons live a short drive away and we stay here multiple times a year when visiting them. We generally have a good stay, however, on this occassion there was a party going on down the hall from our room until 3:30 am. The night clerk tried on at least 2 occassions to quiet them without result. In the morning I was asked by the woman at the desk "Did you complain?" I stated "No, it didn't seem to make any difference." She then stated "Well, if you didn't complain then I can't do anything for you." Her demeanor was rude and her words were uncaring. The hotel itself is nice and we'll undoubtedly stay here again but only because there is not an acceptable place to stay in a 50 mile radius. I would recommend to others and have had family and friends stay here in the past, however, for the reasons stated above I may not in the future.

When in Sackets Harbor, we always stay at the Ontario Place. We were pleased to find out this visit that the Traveler's room that we usualy book were newly renovated! Dave and the staff did a great job at making us feel like this is our "home away from home" while we are here. BTW: it doesn't hurt that the Sackets Harbor Brew Pub is just steps away!

A very adequate room. Clean, a little small, and perfect location. An older building, but reasonably well kept up. We were not impressed, but would stay here again. Be sure to eat at the Tin Pan Galley just up the street. Inside looked cramped, but the outside courtyard reminded us of New Orleans. The hangover burger Sunday morning was great.
