“Great Place Location and town”

This is a very good small hotel. My wife is very particular about cleanliness and this passes her test.

We have a room with couches overlooking harbor. Outstranding views. We found the staff solid to very good- no issues there.

I would agree with the other posts that they could do a little more for breakfast, but it is fine and if you really want something else there is a great coffee shop/pastry place within eyesight (maybe 100 feet away).

The only reason not to make this 5 dots is that one shouldnt be confused that this is a "Martha Stewart" country inn .... Good rooms, great locations... and solid local ambiance, but still a "hotel" not an "inn" ..... WE do recommend!

“Reasonable accommodation in a lovely town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

The hotel was clean and very convenient for town and the few places to eat and drink. No complaints about the room though I thought it was a little pricey for what it was. The breakfast was very disappointing and frankly Naff.

The town is great and highly recommended, and though it was pretty much peak season it was quiet.

“Great experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

This is our 3rd time in the past 5 years to Sackets Harbour, we enjoy this historical battlefield and its surrounding restaurants & the local brewery. We were very impressed by the room renovations and the comfort that it provides.
The staff is very courteous and friendly. The only suggestions would be to improve on the complimentary breakfast, to add a variety of fruit juice bottle & add also an assortment of individuals yogurts and fresh cut fruits instead of sweet donuts & cinnamon rolls which are not always fresh.
But this being said we definitely will return once more this season.
Great job to all that were involved in the renovations.

“One of the nicest places to stay in Sacket Harbor”

I stayed there for a week and was rather impressed with the hotel. It was small but very clean. The hotel rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. The people at the front desk were all friendly and more then willing to help you out with suggestions on places to eat and see. The only issue I had with the hotel was that there was no elevator. If your on the 1st or 2nd floor you don't have to climb stairs. But if you are on the 3rd floor you have 2 flights of stairs to drag your suitcases up. The have a continental breakfast and coffee in the morning. The restaurants/ bars are all within a few steps away, and all good food.

“Friendly family and great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

We stayed in one of the Traveler's Staterooms with the "Night on the Town" package (came with $50 in vouchers for dinner & stand-up comedy).

Our first impression wasn't great, as the woman at the front desk was rather sour and curt. She claimed that we hadn't booked the package, and that there wasn't even a comedy show on that evening. Fortunately, I was confident in my reservation, made her follow up, and got what I'd booked.

The room was large, clean, comfortable, and easily accessible (there is no elevator, so make sure to get a room on the 1st floor if you need easy access). The a/c was *definitely* appreciated! This particular room type had a king bed and jacuzzi tub, which was more than we usually get, but we certainly enjoyed the added luxury.

There were fruits, hot beverages, and some basic pastries for breakfast. The family that runs the place is MUCH more personable than the first staff member we encountered, and we enjoyed chatting with the owner and his youngest son, finding out more about the town, its travelers, and their recommendations for places nearby. There was plenty of parking, and the town is small enough that everything is accessible on foot.
