We stayed at this family owned golf resort on the weekend of September 29th.
We had a fabulous experience.
The golf course is somewhat difficult, but the scenery is beyond words.
The restaurant has the charm of the Black Forest Region of Germany. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. The staff is very courteous. The accommodations are unlike any we have experienced in the upstate New York region. Heavenly pillow-top mattresses and lots of pillows and a down comforter provided us with a wonderful night sleep. The rooms were older but seemed newly renovated and they featured all amenities included LCD wall-mounted flat panel TV's. A brand new fitness facility was also one of the wonderful perks.
We will definitely return to this hidden little treasure when the opportunity presents itself.

i went with a group for golf and lodging at the blackhead resort. The golf course was great and they had a nice rustic barn tavern conveniently located with friendly and helpful staff. the rooms were located in a 7 room chalet that was very outdated with old paneled walls, decor and carpeting with a mothball odor. Food on site was excellent, served in a clean dinning room with very freindly staff. overall the stay was enjoyable with great golf, food and service, however substandard rooms.
