I was able to get away from it all and breathe in the wonderful fresh mountain air in the Catskill Mountains. The views at Blackhead Mountain Lodge are spectacular. The golf course is built into the mountain and offers unbelieveable vistas from the fairways and greens. The German specialties in the restaurant were expertly prepared. The quaint rooms @ the Lodge were spotlessy clean with comfy bedding. The staff & family are friendly and will make sure you have a great stay. If you want to getaway from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to just relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Make no mistake, this is not a luxury hotel, better yet it was a clean, comfortable, friendly small resort with great golf and good German food. The room was small but clean and you can open windows. The golf course was very challenging and though my score didn't reflect it, alot of fun with views of the Berkshires to the east.The staff was helpful and seemed to really want us to have a good time. Even to the point of sending us a few miles away to have clams and more fun.

Stayed at blackhead mountain lodge may 21 weekend and had great time, owners are always ready to make your stay enjoyable. We had for the 1st time german cuisine and
the food was great, The beds were realy comfortable and room was clean, golf couse
is a real jewal,it has some beautiful holes and some superb views .overall would and will go back for another weekend of golf and great time

The golf course was very demanding. Beautiful mountainous layout and spectacular scenic views. The German cuisine was on the money and the service was impeccable. Whoever wrote that bad review must have their head examined. All in all it was two thumbs up. A hidden gem and worthy of a yearly golf getaway. Keep up the good work!! I'll be back.
