Went to visit colleges. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Room was spacious and updated and clean. Highly recommend

We stayed here recently to attend an open house at RIT. Can't beat the location; right off the highway, 1 mile north of I-90. Just a short drive to RIT, even shorter drive to Wegman's & several shopping centers. We've stayed at Comfort Inns (and others in the ChoiceHotels family) and this hotel compares very favorably. Whether the room constitutes a "suite" is up to you to decide, but the rooms are nicely larger than other chain hotels. About 8 extra feet of room, with a fold-out couch, microwave & large fridge were a very welcome addition (especially if you're traveling with teenagers!)
Room was very clean & the property seems well maintained. Staff was helpful & knowledgeable. The Breakfast area was, again, larger than most. With tables & seating for 50+ people, you'll find the usual selection of items (yes, make your own waffles!) Eggs & sausages were a nice addition to the usual.
About the only negative we noticed (and we've noticed this at other hotels, traveling with teenage boys) is that the "pool" is really only fit for small children to splash about in. Other than that, we were satisfied & probably will return.

First thing w noticed was several trucks with small trailers parked over several parking stalls. When told the clerk there was no spaces available we (another guest) was told to it was ok to park in the darken lot of a next door cracker barrel.

Problem started with checking in with a credit card that was not to be charged till checking out. Checked out using a different card and was told that the checking in card was not used. Approx a week to 10 days after check out learned that there were several attempts to charge the card for several different amounts on the night we checked in. Luckily those amounts exceeded our limit and were denied. But there was a several hundred dollar hold blocking our access to the credit. Several calls to the hotel were made and no attempts by them to resolve the matter. Our CC needed a call from the hotel in order to release the hold but they refused to do so. After several back and forth calls to the hotel and our CC they (hotel) relented but wanted the card number to do so. They had a better chance of getting ice water in hell. Never again for this hotel, and Comfort Suites just may on the bottom of our travel hotel list and number one on our [--] list.

Stayed two nights in this location based on the reviews and the location. It certainly didn't disappointment us. All the staff were great and made our stay most pleasant. The rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious. Wifi worked well. The breakfast was top of the line. There is a pool and hot tub. They looked good although we didn't use them.
