I checked in, only to discover my room smelled overwhelmingly like dog. I knew going in that it was a hotel that allowed pets, but I assumed they would make some effort to keep the smell out. It was so bad, there was no way I could stay there. They had no more no-pet rooms available, so I cancelled my reservation and spent $30 more to stay in a super clean, new, cozy Holiday Inn just down the street. Totally worth the extra money to have a decent place to sleep.
