This hotel was great. The included dinner (with Shock Top and Mich on tap) and breakfast was quite good for free hotel food, and was per diem friendly! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the rooms are spacious and very fresh looking. I won't stay anywhere else in this area.

Any staff member who reads this is going to know exactly who I am. Why? Because they made the effort to get to know me on a personal level and treated me not only as a guest, but also like family.

This hotel is simply one of the nicest I've ever stayed at! My wife & I "lived" here for 3 months last year. When you stay that long, it's imperative to have a kitchen and a semblance of a normal life. Homewood Suites delivers that very well!

The staff is top-notch, from the managers to the cleaning/maintenance staff, everybody was very personable and catered to all of our needs. They even rearranged the room for us!

The gym & pool areas are very nice. They even have a TV room with a huge flat screen. Nice for watching football! But you don't really need it because you'll have 2 flat screens in your room!

The breakfast and dinner options were always very delicious and plentiful. We interacted with the evening staff more than the morning staff. They were both very personable and went around offering delicious out-of-the-oven cookies to us all.

Though we didn't use them, there are gas grills available and the front desk has the utensils. Very handy!

Parking is plentiful and free. There is plenty of shopping/dining nearby. And it's only a few miles from the airport!

One thing to be concerned with is that the back of the hotel faces the highway. So if traffic noise bothers you, be sure to request a room on the front side of the hotel.

The only weakness they had was slow Internet, but they recently got that fixed, 2 days after we moved out. :)

So with fast Internet, this is now the best hotel in Rochester IMHO! Check it out!

This hotel was won-der-ful! STAFF - front desk were ok, housekeeping very helpful.
PROPERTY- amazing, lobby was large, modern and spacious, important for breakfast (which was standard FREE BREAKFAST quality, but at least there were hot items to choose from) - additional info - they have gas BBQs and hotel supplies BBQ equipment. I also noticed they serve light dinners M-Th evenings, but we never experienced it cuz we stayed over the w/e. GYM - has everything - med and swiss balls, cardio machines, free weights, cable system, BOSU. POOL - on the smaller side, but at least was heated, no complaints. ROOMS - we had 2 dbl/queen suite, w/ full size fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, everything you need! Flat screen TVs, plush bedding, clean and spacious rooms AREA - everything you need: chain restaurants to home cooked shops and bakeries, 24hr grocery stores, mall across the street, incl 2 others on the same road, outlet an hour...(we preferred Eastview mall the best).

we stayed 3 nights over T-giving weekend and this was a good choice for our needs. on the opposite side of town from our son's apartment, but really quite close and simple access to any part of the city. Housekeeping includes running the dishwasher for guests (!wow!) and when we had a few problems on our arrival, the night manager immediately responded. I would repeat when returning to ROC for either family or business.
