nice set up and clean lobby nice enterance.room did need some up dating. bathroom with whirlpool very large but needed new tub this one was all cracked.room was very large set up nicebut updating.soda left in ref. from earlier customer. staff very freindly and helpful.

We stayed here in September 08, my husband is a Hilton Diamond member, so we have stayed in all the Hilton brands, from Hampton to Conrads.

This was the worst Hampton we have stayed in. Everything just felt grubby, the carpet needed a good shampoo, especially in in elevator. The bathroom had brown marks on the floor from the toilet to the vanity, and the floor felt like it hadnt been washed in ages. There was a brown ooze from the back of the toilet seat where the lid joins the seat !!!! The cleaner had left a card saying the room was clean !!!

There is plenty of hotel choice in the Corning area so stay somewhere else. There is a Hilton Garden Inn close by.

If you are looking for a five star hotel, you will definitely be disappointed. Hampton Inn's are not designed to be that. This
is definitely and older hotel and the furniture has not been updated. It also is in a small town and having an extensive travel history, I knew what I was getting before arriving. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised because despite the older furniture the rooms were kept exceptionally clean, something way more important to me.

Breakfast is standard "Hampton Inn" continental breakfast. I have stayed at quite a few.. so I definitely know. Again, if you are looking for a specialty breakfast, this is not the place for you. I don't particularly care for the standard "eggs, sausages, biscuits never have.." if that is what you are craving that is what's served.
Don't expect restaurant quality, its a chain hotel at the lower end of the Hilton's offerings.
You also have your choice of yogurt, fresh fruit as well as fruit salad, coffee, tea, juice muffins etc.
Most Guests raved about the afternoon snacks: Popcorn, Cookies, mini cheesecakes, brownies, Berry Pie. I myself
didn't induldge but broke down when they had canolies from a local restaurant.... mmmm!

The excercise room on property is definitely dated and I did say to the manager that the excercise bikes and stair masters needed to be updated.
If like me you cannot go a day without excercise, they do have a very neat perk which I used almost everyday. Free usage of the Corning YMCA a few miles away from the property...there you can find everything you could possibly need if you are a gym bunny like me... also gave me an opportunity to meet people in the community and find out more information about what was going on around town.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning very efficient.

For long term stays only and if you care about preparing your own meals: if you want fresh food and a meal prepared "by you" there is Wegman's!! I was able to prepare many a meal.. for instance: you can select a piece of fish at the fish counter, tell them how you would like it prepared and they will prepare it for you.. to your specifications ...go do your shopping for the rest of your meal;return to the counter after completing your shopping return to your room and Voila..

I have stayed at countless Hampton Inns, and this one is definitely at the bottom of my list. It seems that this Hampton Inn has not gotten any new beds or any upgrades in quite some time. It's almost like this small hotel used to be a mom and pops place and it just recently adopted the Hampton Inn designation.

I probably would not stay here again, but if you must stay in Corning, it's certainly manageable.
