the last two years after grape harvest my wife and i have gone to old forge and stayed at the village cottages. we enjoy relaxing in front of the wood burning fire place(Harris cottage)and being able to walk through the back lawn and coming out next to Walts Diner where we eat breakfast and lunch,we go to the Steak House in thendara for supper. and being able to shop without driving the car. the cottages are clean and cozy and well kept andthey are always renovating . the owners are very nice and always there to help. if you don't care to eat out the kitchens are all furnished all you do is supply the food. give them a try, we love it.

We stayed there this some and loved it. We are
also going this weekend to see Old Forge in the
fall. The cottage we stayed at this summer was super cozy. Really, all the comforts of home!
We were nosy and checked out the other rooms and they all look comfortable. You can get adjoining cottages and bring two familys. Everyone will be comfy. The bed we had in our room was gigantic and way better than what we sleep on at home!

We stayed at Village Cottages in July, 2003 and loved it. We have been coming to Old Forge every here, but have never stayed here before.
Jaime and his dog Roscoe made us feel right at home. It's located in a nice neighborhood section of Old Forge, right in walking distance of everything. Every night we would have deer visiting us. My daughter and her friend loved swimming in the outdoor pool. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and spacious for a great rate! Great size kitchen and living room with 2 big bedrooms (all the comforts of home). We even got a Christmas card from Jaime and Roscoe!! Can't wait to go back!
