“WONDERFUL VIEW!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

My husband and I SPENT 04 nights at this hotel last August and was exactly the way I expect: wonderful view from Caldera, beautiful swimming pool, nice breakfast and location is great: you can go walking to the village.
The room and specially the
bath room was large, however the balcony had the view obstructed by a corridor, so try to book a room with a private balcony and direct view to the ocean.
Even this litle incovenience, we spent lovely sunsets drinking wine with pistachios, so romantic indeed. The beaches in Santorini aren't so nice as in Milos Island. If you look for stuning wild beaches, clear blue waters, go to Milos!
Santorini wins for the landscape. The tour for Caldera hot spring water is fake: the water is cold, nothing special, I was disappointed.
I recommend the Rastoni Restaurant: good prices with a beautiful view.
Rent a car and go to Oia for the sunset, despite the sunset from your hotel balcony is great too!!!

“Lovely time in Tzekos Villas!”

The view is the most amazing we have ever experienced! Couldn't get enough of it! Views are to die for!The location is great as well, only 5 minutes walk to the best restaurants, boutiqes and shops.
We liked the free internet access in the room too. The hotel is good value for money and we would definitely recommend Tzekos Villas.
Suggestions when staying in Santorini- bring good walking shoes and take the bus as it's easy and cheap.

Room Tip: Room 205, great views!

“Best Hotel in Fira!!!! Made my honeymoon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Tzekos Villa's staff was wonderful. Very accommodating to our needs and exactly what we'd picture our hotel to be in Santorini. They were nice enough to send 1 of their staff down to the street to come get our luggage and bring it to our rooms. Fira has a lot of uphill steps on cobble stones, so this was of great help. The concierge arranged for the best deals in ATVs for a few days. The staff was excellent and the rooms are very clean. Made my honeymoon memorable! Also, their mini fridge in the hotel room actually works! I found a lot of hotels around my vacation in Greece had fridges but weren't as cold as it should be. This is very helpful as we were drinking water by the gallon! It's so hot in July! The location was great as well, it was a short 5 minute walk to the heart of the town and you had your piece and quiet @ night away from all the lights and noise.

“Stunning view and that's it !!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

Most rooms face the stunning view everybody wants !! It is really amazing but I wonder if other hotels have this same view since most buildings in Santorini are built on the top edge of the volcano. The location is good, just a few minutes to the center of Fira. If I have the chance to go again, I would stay in a village called Oia (nicer shops, restaurants, etc).
Since the transfer buses are not allowed to get closer, we got off the bus a few blocks from the hotel, walking a very steep way before finding the hotel.
There was only one person from the hotel to help us with our luggage (there were other people with us with more luggage) and he arrived 20 minutes late to help us. Conclusion: everybody had to carry its own luggage. The hotel has many many stairs to go to the room, swimming pool, breakfast, etc. I wonder if the stairs are really unavoidable if you want a hotel with that view.
Breakfast is very basic.
My room was not small, but no decoration. Small and dark bathroom with even smaller shower.
The pool are is really nice. Wi fi signal was good only near the lobby and weak in my room.
Staff OK but nothing special. Air conditioner was working but not very strong as I wished.

“Should be called " Bed and Breakfast"Why do they use the name VILLAS?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

I booked this hotel for my daughter and myself, to spend quality time together, mainly because of its location, confort and the fact that the rooms were suposed to be all suites, but turn up they don't even have a restaurant on their premises!
After our arrival at the port we waited half an hour to be collected, we had to call the hotel and were told to wait twenty minutes more. Since no one came to get us, we took a taxi that charged 15 euros, and called the hotel by radio to ask them to send the bell boy to wait for us at the entrance of Caldera, (since its not possible to drive all the way to the hotel). As we got to the reception they were busy moving a lady to a different room. We got a tiny outdated room, the furniture was old and crummy, like a 2 star hotel, not at all as expected.
We ask to change to another room but the hotel was full, was their answer. Breakfast was basic and using the cheapest products, Santorinis produce was not present; like their tomatoes or good feta cheeses, etc, instead awfull cheap cheese, one fruit (either water melon or melon), and the only great thing was the yogurt.
The pool was fantastic! and Dimitris, the bar atendant was very helpful, he made up for all the wrong things. Sunsets at Caldera, are the best, and we spend most of the time at the hotel, around the pool.
As we where leaving they tried to charge us the taxi at arrival from the port to the hotel, because I had arranged it, even though no one ever came to pick us up...and they wanted 20 euros instead of 15euros that is what the taxis charge!
There was only one person working at reception that was helpful, colaborator that was prompt to help us; a tall educated and very nice person that I wish I could remember his name.
Anyway, Santorini's Caldera, is a Dreamt Place, a pleasure to the eyes, and the views make up for all the inconveniences. They are very lucky to have this location!!!
Not at all what they advertise and it is very expensive!!!
