We stayed here twice: once in the peak season of 2009 and afterwards at spring in 2011. We found it a good budget accommodation with caldera view. Actually this is the cheapest caldera view room that I am aware of.
The family owned house is situated at the beginning of the main pedestrian pathway of Oia, above a taverna . That is why first time I was afraid of the noise at nights, but we did not hear anything from below and could sleep well, even in the summer.
There are four rooms, room #1 and 2 are the caldera view rooms, and room #3 and 4 look to the other side. They are also sea view rooms, but not caldera view. We stayed both times in room #1, so my pictures were taken there. In this room there is a sleeping loft with a mattress for two, and also a single bed downstairs (which has been the only change in the room since 2009, when a sofa was there).
Furniture is far from being modern or luxurious, but there is enough space in the room, and there is a big fridge and there are some kitchen facilities (which may have not been used since last year when we were there at spring, so they needed to be cleaned before using). There is A/C, an old TV and a hairdryer. The bathroom is simple again, with a shower without curtain, and even without shower tray. Towels were provided. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis, we had to tell to the owners to empty the bins and bring toilet paper when we ran out of it.
But the best part of the room is the balcony, which is the reason for choosing this accommodation. We enjoyed here the peaceful mornings and the more vivid nights watching the people go by, and of course the sea, the caldera, the nearby Thirassia island… but note that you cannot see the famous sunset from here!
We recommend this place to those who are looking for a budget caldera view accommodation and not bothered by how the room looks.
