REASON FOR MY STAY: shopping with the girls
CHECK IN: went very smoothly.
ROOM: days inn has a standard- it is never bad however, never great. The rooms are average- clean and do the purpose of give you a one night’s sleep. The service is pleasant and courteous. The hotel is mostly Canadians who are across the borders shopping. The price is fair for what you get.
This is the hotel we stayed at on our visit to Niagara Falls last July. We had a GPS and the directions weren't correct so I called the hotel and even they couldn't give us good directions. After about a frustrating hour and a half of driving up and down the same street we finally found it. Needless to say I was underwhelmed. But putting aside being lost I will have to judge the hotel on its merits. The front desk people were very friendly and sympathetic that we spent so much time trying to find the place (at this point I was very angry). We received our keys and went to the rooms (we had two rooms). The first room was fine, about what you'd expect for a Days Inn. The second room however, when I opened the door I was hit with the smell of stale sewage. I didn't even go into the room. I went directly to the front desk and they apologized for it and gave me another room. Needless to say that room also had a smell to it but nowhere near as strong and since this was only going to be a one night stay I kept the room. Honestly I should rate this hotel a 1 or 2 but I gave it an Average because of the good customer service. The front desk people were great and just goes to show that good customer service really does help a business.
This is was a nice pit stop, for the price, for my husband and I before driving into Canada. I'm usually picky about hotels, but this was decent for the night. Front desk was friendly, bed was comfortable, room was spacious. Breakfast were the essentials : cereal, toast, fruit, coffee, yoghurt... etc.
Stayed here just for one night on a trip to Niagara Falls in August 2011. Very Basic rooms, the room fridge was in a very bad shape. The room was quite spacious and I liked that. Decent breakfast as well.
