“Not the greatest but acceptable”

The carpet in the halls were pretty disgusting but once we got to our room on the second floor things were fine. The curtins and pictures seemed pretty new. The sheets smelled freshly washed and the bedspread wasn't filthy. Bathroom could use some renovating. I've stayed in worse hotels though. Location is excellent!

“Good Location -- Fair Price”

We styed Sun to Thursday. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had Microwave & Refrigerator. Our room had 2 double beds and a pull out sofa bed... which the grandson thougt was the coolest thing! This hotel has a lot of tour buses using it so the lobby can get overcrowded at times. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice as was the bar & smoking lounge. However, we thought 10.00 was a bit much for a breakfast buffet -- We were glad we had planned on eating breakfast in our room. Niagara Falls on the US side is NICER THAN ON THE CANANDIAN SIDE-- If you buy the Discover PASS for 33.00 you can have 2 to 3 days of enjoyment for a low cost. If you want to see the falls in their most natuaral state and be able to walk along the rapids and have a relaxing and enjoyable time -- then stay on the American Side -- Very little car traffic -- Beautiful State Parks -- Take the time to go to WHIRLPOOL STATE PARK AND TAKE THE FREE TOUR OF THE US POWER PLANT which supplies 10% of the power for NY State. -- also Fort Niagara is a short drive away and is well worth the drive!

“No clue management (does anybody work here)”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

Find another place if you can. A place with no direction is no place to stay. This is with out a doubt a hotel that needs someone with with some experience to manage the place. It may fill itself up with customers, but thats because of location. It sure isn't the way customers are treated. Example: A desk clerk who throws his pen on the table and tells the customer his shift is over, find someone else if you need help.

Room Tip: Thin wall lots of noise filtering from the hallway. Check the room before you accept it.

“Never Again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

We booked at this hotel not realizing we had stayed there before with a few issues. This time was the worst. The fitted sheets were obviously full sheets trying to stretch onto Queen beds ( they kept popping off the mattress all night. The vents in the air conditioning unit were clogged thick with dirt. Shower curtain smelled like sour milk. There was mold growing in the soap dish holder. My husband is handicapped, not only were there no empty handicapped spaces ( understandably), but we circled the parking lot for 20 minutes both nights of our stay, there were no parking spaces( this was a Monday night, not the week-end).
We called the desk in the evening to see about a late out and were told we had to call in the morning to ask. When I called in the morning was told no because the needed the room that afternoon. Since it takes housekeeping 30 minutes to clean a room, and check in isn't until 4:00 why could we not have a 12:00 out. When my husband went down to the desk to ask we were then granted a late out. Housekeeping then knocked and immediately opened the door at 9:05.Doesn't the housekeeping crew check the front desk to see who's out before banging on doors and walking in.When I checked out I asked to speak to the GM and was told there was no GM on duty at that time.

“Better than expected”

We stayed at the hotel with a free night because we booked the chapel. We booked this chapel site unseen. We were so happy. Our wedding was done at the chapel and it was wonderful. The staff and Priest were great. We felt like our ceremony was the most important one they had ever done. We felt very welcomed and supported by the staff. We received a comp night at the hotel. From previous reviews, I was worried about the hotel. I was nicely suprised. The room was nice and newly remodeled. We had lunch at the resturant and it was priced well and food was good with large serving size. Our only complaints were that the hallways were still under construction, front desk was not very helpful and it was a little humid in the hotel. We had good air conditioning in our room. We had a wonderful time. Parking was not an issue and we had a handicapped member of our group. Hadicapped rooms were just fine.

Room Tip: better than prior reviews suggest
