“Just Okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Friendly staff and adequate rooms in a dated hotel in a pretty vacant part of town. Far better off on the Canadian side.

“Average hotel, a bit run down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

Stayed for 3 nights in November 2011. The check in was very quick. The parking is free.
The room we got had a very strong odor and we thought we were given a smoking room. Turned out the room wasn't a smoking room, but the hotel was fully booked and we couldn't change rooms. The mattresses are worn, the pillows are too soft, didn't have very good sleep. The room was a bit worn, there were spider nets in several spots on the ceiling. The bathroom was decent, but could have used a much more thorough cleaning all over. They have laminate floors in the rooms, which is much better than the carpet. There's also a mini-fridge in the room. But overall, the rooms are in need of a facelift.
The common areas such as the pool and lounge were ok.
The hotel staff was pleasant. I was there with 2 kids and asked for a cot in the room so they don't have to sleep together, and was told there's a $10/night charge for it. I still got it, but many hotels don't charge for it.
I personally think there are better and cleaner places to stay for the price we paid.

“Good for the price but nothing too special.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

Stayed for 1 night in November 2011 ($100). Check-in was super fast, elevator was crazy slow, parking is free which is great. I booked a week in advance and asked for king size bed but didn't get it because apparently the 7th floor has most king sizes and it was being renovated. So we got 2 queens.
Room is nice, looks modern, hard wood floors, ok beds, good pillows, good TV and enough channels, fridge and freezer available. Downside, the windows didn't open.
The bathroom looked nice but the tub looked like it was 30 years old. We could also hear other people through the bathroom vents I guess... loud and clear. The doors didn't block too much sound either.
Overall, clean and decent for the money we spent and it's really close to the border crossing.
Other downside (not about the hotel itself), Niagara Falls, NY is unbelievably boring!!! WOW! There is NOTHING around! The hotel is 2 min walk from Niagara River, which is beautiful, but on a Saturday evening at 8pm me and my boyfriend were the only ones around. We found about 15 people near the waterfall and that was it! No shops, no bars, no restaurants, no lights, no nothing... just the quiet casino. Very boring... I wish I had stayed on the Canadian side. Next time...

Room Tip: Hotel is being renovated, may not get what you request.

“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Just stayed 2 nights over Veteran's Day. Clean, basic room, great location about 2 blocks from Falls, across road from Seneca casino, staff were very nice/friendly. Although we did not go in it, the pool looked very nice and clean (you could smell the chlorine!) and water was circulating. Had a view of the Falls/Canada and we were able to watch the Winter Festival of Lights fireworks from our room. Buffet breakfast was very good. Bar had ice cold beer for a good price!! Presently doing remodeling on I believe the 2nd floor (we were on the 5th). Would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

Room Tip: If you can, get a room on a high floor (4th or above) facing the Falls/Canada!
