we were interested in the lakeside inn after reading a good review in New York Magazine and seeing the nice photos on lakeside's website. however, we were extremely disappointed in our stay. our room was completley different than what was described to us and shown on the website. it was similar to a room you would stay at during summer camp: bug infested, dirty, weird stains and dents on the walls, bathmats that looked dirty with dead bugs, dead bugs in the shower...did i mention dead bugs? our room had none of the amenities described on the website: no wireless access, no ipod docking station, no newspaper, no robes or slippers. and the very best of part of all: no key to lock your room!! all for $300 a night.
