this hotel sucks. the manager artie is a fat piece of crap. these rooms are definetly crack dens and they smell. i recommend no one to go there. they rip you off as much as they can and fights break out at the bar every night. bar is fun but the bouncers are scumbags as well. a bunch of fat losers who think they are tough. i wish i had no memories of the memory

This hotel sucks.
Basically this is the worst hotel on earth. You would be better off sleeping in a dirty storm drain than staying here. The owner is horrible and obviously could care less about the property. There is a rowdy bar right in the middle of the place and I saw the bouncers beating up patron outside who was being bear hugged and punched. The rooms look like crack dens and probably are, with a lot of the windows broken. Do yourself a favor Montauk and make this the distant Memory Motel, as it is probably costing the town visitors.

It was cheap and creepy. There were gaps an holes in the walls and I kept thinking we were being watched the whole time. I'm surprised they're still in business.

The bar was fun and friendly but the rooms... not for the faint hearted.

I am posting this review several years after I stayed because 1) I was not familiar with Trip Advisor back then and 2) the hotel is aptly named because it still stands out in my memory as the worst I have ever stayed in. The owners were very pleasant and that's where the pleasantries about this stay ended. When we got into the room it beyond worse than I would have ever imagined for the price paid. If we had paid, say, $50 or less then I would have expected what we got. Most uncomfortable bed ever slept in - i could feel every spring in the mattress and bathroom was in need of repairs. The restaurant across the street turned into a nightclub and started playing music around 1 am very loudly so that it woke us up. This lasted until about 4 am. Perfect if we wanted to go clubbing, but unfortunately we just wanted to sleep. Only good part was the bar in the hotel was a fun place to hang out in the evening.
