We have been staying at the Born Free for one week every summer for the past eight years.
We love the location and the room is perfect but the new management is more than we can handle...Every time you call the office the rules change, no one knows what they are talking about but they all have the same line... you booked under the old management. The 2011 prices for our August reservation vary according to when you book. We booked in February, that does not go by the 2011 rate schedule we go by 2010 which was $298.00 more for a week because we booked under the old management. We feel we should pay the price they are charging when we stay. Will not be back. Way to much aggravation for the four families on vacation.

I can't understand the opinions of the previous two posters. I am writing this from this motel. We checked in today. The suite is spotless, there are no odors, the carpet is immaculate, and the shower is roomy. It is true that this is not a very quiet place to stay, there are many young people here and the sound does travel but this is not bothering us at all so far. The beach is right across the street, the town is a block away, you don't need to drive anywhere. The only complaint is that there is no a/c in the livingroom but there is a ceiling fan which is satisfactory. The evening hours are cool anyway so it really isn't a problem. I would come back here again.

Stayed here in the past & liked it.Like being in town & so close to the beach.Our problem was the other VERY noisy guests.When we signed in we had to sign a paper that stated they do not tolerate guests who are being loud & among other things...well every day & every evening these people( not young) had about 15 other people visiting them which was fine but they would be partying on the deck in front of their room & ours, talk very loud take our chairs so that even if we wanted to sit outside we couldn;t bc there was no place to stand or sit.We needed to turn the t.v. up really loud just not to hear them.They would flick their cigar ashes everywhere,heard doors slaming all night & very early in the morning.Just rude people....people need to understand that when you go away you are not the only one that is paying for a vacation & to be more considerate to other people that are also on vacation.So the next time i will be staying somewhere i know that truly doesn't tolerate RUDE people!Not the place to go to if your trying to relax & sleep.As far as the room goes the kitchen was perfect,the stall shower was WAY to small,there is only one a/c in the bedroom so that room you freeze & the other rooms are to warm & the couch bed needs to be replaced NOW! The carpets also need to either be replaced or at least shampooed.Lastly the wifi did not work & our room did not have alot of stations for the t.v.

been staying here for years, was always a decent choice just off the beach..no more..under new management who are now into cutting corners big time..a/c is out, odors are bad, blinds don't work, mold all over the place,shower head leaks,no more parking passes for the beach, no ice machine..we are checking out 3 days early...adios born free..too bad..
