just spent 3 nites in there 2 bedroom cottage it wasnt worth the money the cottage wasnt maintain needed lite bulbs in the rooms the bed was a disaster the office didnt seem to care one way or the other for the 800.00 i spent there i would have been better off sleeping in my car find another resort

We loved the Beach Plum. The room was clean and nicely decorated . The service was very good and the management was excellent. We had a family of 6 and had plenty of space. It was a short walk into town and a path down to the beach. There was also a pool that was small but very clean.

The management are very rude and not professional in how they speak to patrons.
Should you ask for something or question that annoys them they will get very nasty, and could not care if you chose to leave the hotel. The people who manage this establishment are not nice at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite numerous phone calls and e-mails 5 months prior there was no communication. Three months before our expected arrival date we got a call and immediately were told that we had our booking and subsequently a 50%deposit was made. Again, there was no confirmation by email, phone or pos though our credit card was charged. After a much anticipated summer vacation with 3 young children we arrived to find that our cottage rental was already occupied by another family and that we, a family of 5 had been deceptively booked a depressing, cramped, badly furnished 1 BR motel room. Hinges and door locks broken, tacky decor and phantom staff should keep you away. Montauk is beautiful, no doubt..., but DO NOT STAY AT THIS SHODDY MISMANAGED PLACE! Look elsewhere!! At a local restaurant we dined at afterwards we mentioned our experience and were told by restaurant staff that this was not an uncommon occurrence and that Beach Plum resort had a very bad reputation in the area. The owner is know to cancel reservations without notice when it suits him (e.g. , to acomodate friends, business assoc. etc..) STAY AWAY.
