We had a very pleasant visit to Hartman's Briney Breezes this weekend for our first ever trip to Montauk (it certainly will not be our last). I was nervous about traffic since we were leaving the city at 5:30pm on a Friday evening, but Robert assured me that a late arrival would not be a problem. Surprisingly we made it in right at 8pm, and he was there waiting with the keys. Easiest check-in ever!

The room was large, comfortable and very clean. I slept well both nights. The room was a bit chilly at first, but the heater quickly warmed things up. The close proximity to the beach and downtown was a definite plus, but it still felt secluded which was ideal.

We're already looking forward to future stays at Hartman's!

Great place to stay. Rooms are spacious and extremely clean. Nice view and easy access to everything.

My wife and I go to Montauk in October to fish. The last 4 years we have stayed at Hartmans. My wife refuses to stay anywhere else because everything is so clean. I saw the maid actually clean the windows inside and out and then she proceeded to clean the screens. The grounds are landscaped nicely and the ocean is right across the street. There is no place along old Montauk hwy to park so guests have their own private beach.

I didn't end up staying at this hotel due to the rudeness of Robert who I had spoken to a few times regarding a stay on Columbus Day weekend. Originally he offered us very nice accomodations which we were interested in but then took away what he offered when we decided we could not stay the 3 nights (we hadn't actually booked with him yet). He got nasty and rude when I told him we would not be booking. He started to say something and then said "Oh forget it" which I found very un-professional. I am glad to say I found a alternate place for the same money which had the most spectacular (Panoramic) view with wonderfully kind, accomodating staff and excellent accomodations for my party. I think I probably saved myself alot of aggravation not having to deal with him.
