My girlfriends and I came here for a fun weekend away in June. We were pleasantly surprised about the cute hotel was, especially for the price. I heard they have just renovated the rooms and they were really nice, comfortable, and clean. The small kitchenette with a refrigerator came in especially handy. The location is great too- walking distance to the beach and to many great bars and restaurants. Overall, would definitely stay here again!

My husband have stayed at the Lido for our annual vacation in Montauk, every year since 2005. Back in 2005, I just picked the name randomly from a list of area hotels, and boy did I get lucky!

It is affordable (compare the price to the price of the motels that are right on the beach; the Lido is only across the street, yet it is much cheaper!).
-The location is perfect. We do not have a car, and we walk from the LIRR station right into town to our motel. The motel is just down around the corner from the town's main street with the shops and restaurants. Also, it is right across the street from Harvest, our favorite restaurant in the 'tauk, next door to the well-known and very busy ice cream shop, a couple blocks from the bus stop to catch the bus to the lighthouse, a block from the town's medical office... And, to get to the beach you just have to cross the street.

**The Pool-- it is well-maintained, clean water and clean area around pool (the lounge chairs, etc.). The pool is right next to Fort Pond, so the scenery is beautiful.
***Service-- Patty and Bill are very helpful. This is a family-run motel, and it has a real home-like feel. And the housekeeper we have every year is also very nice and friendly and helpful, and she does an incredible job cleaning up all the wet towels and sand-laden rooms every day!

Overall, we love this place. It is affordable, geared toward families and beach-goers. It isn't fancy, but it is clean and well-maintained, and perfect for people schlepping to and from the beach everyday.

The service was excellent. It was like being home away from home. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The location is great. Walking to local restaurants and shops and to the beach. The pool has a nice few of the water. The large overhang outside the room came in handy on the one pouring down rainy evening so the whole family could be at the picnic tables and play cards. I would highly recommend it.

Very well-kept property, clean pool, well-maintained grounds. Very close to beach. Owners are there all the time and very responsive. Rooms clean and housekeeping did a great job.
