We were flying out of Massena and needed a place to stay that was close to the airport. Bob's Hotel, which is also the Red Carpet Inn, was the 1st we saw. We had to kill 3 LARGE FLIES and when 3 more magically appeared (where were they coming from??!!) we went and complained. The manager offered us a fly swatter to remedy the problem! The swatter must be the reason for all the gross smudges on the wall and ceilings?! We asked for our money back, and he would only give us half back. We asked for another room, and more flies appeared in this room also! The beds were small. Around midnight the heater made pounding noises and continued to do so every 10 minutes for the rest of the night. then around 3am the thermostat starting whistling like a teapot. Conditions were dirty. Needless to say, we did NOT sleep that night. Please DO NOT waste your money here!

Called the hotel aprox 10pm at night after I had driven by and saw 4 cars in the parking lot. My stay with my son went later than anticipated and I couldn't make the drive back to Syracuse. Man who answered the phone said $50.00 to rent room. I arrived and requested a non smoking room- he said $65.00. I informed him that I had called only 7 minutes ago and he quoted $50.00 to me. I said I would not pay $65.00. He told me the $50.00 rooms were the ones "OUT BACK- SMOKING". I reiterated that I would not pay $65.00. He said ok then pay $55.00. I said you quoted me $50.00 and that was all I would pay- and if didn't want to do business with me I would move along. He told me "Go somewhere else". I did- I went to the Quality Inn- while they are still renovating the place- they were very gracious and worked a price i would afford. the room at the Quality in was very clean- breakfast was very good- and the bed was super comfortable- I slept well.

Very convenient location nearby the shopping center and locks. Me and wife go to the casino often, so we love staying here at the Red Carpet. The owner is great and the service is quick. It's a great deal for your buck.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. We had booked our reservation in December because it was for graduation weekend and the area fills up at that time. We arrived and were told they did not have any rooms but would give us someone else's room for $10.00 more. When I showed the confirmation from the travel agent he said to go find our selves a new room knowing that the chances of that were slim to none. We believe he was taking adavantage of the situation to get more money. Come to find out my sister and her family left there that morning due to unsanitary conditions. So there were rooms available...
