I gave this motel an overall rating of poor instead of terrible because of the friendly staff. This is an old motel that is desperately in need of renovations. We have been trying different accomodations as my daughter lives in the area. This was cheap but, I would much rather pay the extra $20-30 a night even though we only use the room to sleep and shower. We had 3 rooms in 24 hours. The first room was room 105-ughhh another review said if you get it fight about it. No, if you get it just leave. It is awful the subfloor seems rotted under your feet, noticable water damage on the carpet coming out of the bathroom, mildew on the wall and an awful mildew, mold, musty smell that was overpowering. The next room was a jacuzzi sweet (I will say they did move us to this room at no extra charge when I complained about room 105). This room normally rents for $139 (well over the cost of the beautiful Holiday Inn Express up the road). The jacuzzi room was cheezy-cleaner but in need of repair. The third room was okay-not as clean as I would like but, not filthy and appeared to be updated a little more. I would have been okay with the old needing updating but, the place needs to be cleaned desperately. Also, I was traveling with my mother and there were some really weird things going on in the parking lot in the back. I must say I didn't feel particularly comfortable returning to the motel after dark which is what we did every night, as we were spending all of our time with my daughter and her family.
The breakfast was okay-cereal, oatmeal, fruit, danish, and make your own Belgian waffles although the area by the waffles dusty and dirty. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and attempted to accomodate me as best as possible.
Overall I wouldn't recommend staying especially if you have any allergies or breathing issues. I was at the doctors office by midweek of my return because the stay in the motel prompted some breathing issues from the mold/mildew.
