My husband, myself and my 9-month old daughter decided to take a trip to Lake George at the end of August. We weren't looking to spend a lot of money and after doing some serious research and making some calls to other locations, we decided to go with Heritage. And it was just what we were looking for. Inexpensive, clean, and friendly, accommodating staff is the name of the game at the Heritage.

As soon as we arrived the woman at the front desk was helpful and friendly. She right away offered us coupons for local restaurants and a discount on ferry rides on Lake George. With a 9-month old we were concerned about space in the room for the pack and play but there was plenty of room and it was very clean. I was actually surprised at the cleanliness of the room and in particular the bathroom. Clearly they take the time to care for the rooms and the motel overall. You can tell they take the time to paint the exterior of the building and maintain its overall appearance. The only complaint we had was that the door was VERY squeaky coming in and out of the room (a HUGE problem when you have a 9-month old) but my husband asked them for WD-40 and voila, problem solved.

I would HIGHLY recommend this motel to anyone looking for an affordable, clean place to stay. Within walking distance of everything this place was truly a bargain and, unless you MUST be ON the water, this place is for you. Happy travels!

My son and I found the Heritage to be an awesome place. Nice pool, fun time around fire pit. Was in walking distance of Town. Rooms where very clean and staff was professional and very helpful.

I stayed at the Heritage of Lake George specifically because it rated well with trip advisor reviewers. Now I have to wonder, who actually writes these reviews? Quickly stated, the room (cottage actually) was dark and gloomy. The decor was dated with a tube TV. There is no doubt in my mind that the mattress on both beds were more than 30 years old. Horrible nights sleep. I have a knot in my back that will take weeks to undo. Granted, the front desk staff was exceptionally welcoming. The pool was fun for the kids and my husband did enjoy the front porch of the cottage. All said, if they could brighten up the place with some fresh colors and put in some new mattresses, I would have rated it higher.

What a wonderful place! From the second we got there to the when we left, we had nothing but great service. All employess are warm & friendly. We stayed in one of the cute cottages which offers a small porch and table & chairs (perfect for reading and enjoying the contiental breakfast they offer 8am - 10am everyday). They offer a nice pool, fire pit, grills & chairs to enjoy the outdoors. The cottage was clean and the water was nice & hot. The location is great! We were able to walk to the downtown area where there are many shops & restaurants. I hope someone finds this reveiw helpful & stays here, I know I will again!
