We were forced to stay here after being stranded in NY because of a snow blizzard for 48hrs. This was the last hotel with rooms available, unfortunately. The shuttle bus t ages, but at least it was free. The room wS horrendous...enormous, with 2 double beds and random bits of broken furniture, and an enormous jacuzzi in the room!! Needless to say we didn't get in that! It was a freezing night! I had to sleep in 4 layers of clothing, and in the morning there was snow on the INSIDE of the window. We were disgusted that they took advantage of all the stranded travellers Nd put the prices up to more than double. Never, Ever stay here.

The pictures on this website are clearly from the grand opening 1,000,000 years ago. The outside of the building has no lights. The lobby reminded me of somewhere I could rent a room by the hour, as I am sure some people might have been doing. The room smelt like mothballs mixed with wet clothes and I am pretty sure there was mold in the walls. The bathroom was not clean and the door did not lock properly which does not help as the hotel "guests" and place of hotel reminded me of what would be the projects/ghetto. Definitely not worth $115 maybe $27.

I made a serious mistake in booking this hotel. I just needed one night close to the airport and the reviews on booking.com seemed OK. I paid $115 for the room plus tax but really wish I'd spent a little more. When we arrived I realised my mistake - the public areas are awful. I was greeted by a receptionist having a soap opera type conversation with a friend on a handsfree mobile - didn't know if she was speaking to me or not. The room was pretty awful too - tired and worn but adequately clean. The hotel advertises a restaurant and lounge but there is none and your options are take away menus and apparently a burger king in walking distance but frankly you would not want to walk far in this area at night. Fortunately there was a marriott just up the road and we had dinner there. The shuttle bus drivers seem to feel they are doing a huge favour in picking you up/taking you to the airport and like all the staff (with the possible exception of the night receptionist - Indian guy who was quite pleasant) have a very offhand manner with guests. Just don't stay here is my advice.

My stay at The JFK Inn was unexpected and lengthy. And from my first night until the day I left I was satisfied with the service.
The staff was friendly, professional, helpful sometimes going out of their way to accomodate guests, not just me. I stayed until April so I can attest to the quality of cleanliness, absolutely no pest problem at all, a free breakfast with many choices every morning. If you need a home away from home with attentive staff for a competitive price this hotel is where you want to stay.
