I'm a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding. The bride reserved a book of rooms. I called a month ago and was told they would call me right back. No callback. I called again a week later, explained I needed a room for this wedding, they told me they would call me right back. NO CALL BACK. Finally, two weeks later, I called again today and again they told me they would call back... I said, you've told me that twice now, I need to book for this wedding, and she said she promised to call back, but she had someone on the other line. Finally, she called back only to tell me that the block of rooms was now sold out. Meanwhile I called a month ago and it wasn't sold out then! She said the only option she had for me at this point was a pre-paid event (I had to pay in full) for $229/night with a 3-night minimum. Um, really? What's more, she didn't even know who the wedding party was... I gave her the name and she didn't have it "on file" even though it's the BRIDE'S name... Of course, there's no way I'm paying that much for a generic hotel room, where I can pay less at a beautiful bed and breakfast in the area. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Bride is FURIOUS.

I booked this hotel at the last minute when the B&B I had reserved cancelled because of plumbing problems. I used hotels.com a got a room for $100+, which seems to be on the cheaper side for the area. The hotel is really ugly from the outside - asphalt everywhere and odd little pagodas placed here and there where people seem to smoke. This is not a place to vacation - it's a place to sleep and move on. The sheets were clean, the TV worked, there was a little refrigerator where I could store some water. The bathroom was run-down but clean, too - a mismatched spindle kept part of the vanity up, and there was duct tape hanging from the exposed plumbing. Hallways are on the exterior, and each room has a plastic chair and a little smoking thing outside - no smoking in any of the rooms. It's not walking distance from town, but it was easy to get to the Farmer's Market by car (straight up the road), and it's right across a very busy street from a shopping mall - you can get groceries, books, etc. if you need to! It's about a 5-10 minute drive to anything from hotel. I'd stay again if I had to, but certainly it wouldn't be my first choice. Or second, really!

We had stayed here once or twice over the last 5 years but thought the price was pretty high at one point. But I happened to check for this stay and it was quite reasonable so I think they have lowered their rates. We stayed in their deluxe queen room which is in a separate building and away from street noise, and the rooms are new and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. In Ithaca we have found that street noise and price are the biggest concerns and this hotel was great along those lines!

Stayed in the new section, non-smoking as a last minute affordable find in the Ithaca area. Arrived late after midnight, clerk checked us in quickly,without hassle, pointed un in the direction to our rooms. The room was very nice. Clean throughout, comfortable beds. Coffee maker in room made a good cup in the AM. The pillows were my only complaint as they were cheap foam types. But everything was great for a mere $79.75 per night!

I have read the reviews of the old section across the court. It does look older but this review is limited to the new section.
