I have used this hotel a couple of times in the past for business, but this last time will be the last time. Over the course of a couple of months I received numerous e-mails from two different desk clerks, both of whom never correctly took the information I provided and applied to the situation. My booking was for a block of rooms to be paid by each person as they arrived.
Upon arrival, each guest was provided with different information relative to billing, it was so screwed up that I placed everything on my card just to get out of there the following morning. A few of my associates stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, which is not far from the Country Inn. They had to drive a bit further to our ultimate destination but had no issues and did enjoy a lower cost. Working with the staff of the Country Inn was similar to a root canal without Novocain.
Now, on to the good part. Once in my room I noticed that the cleanliness level had declined since my last stay. A chunk of candy stuck under the bathroom door, dusty carpet perimeter and the additional treat of toe nail clippings and mystery plastic (hair piece?) behind the night stand (see picture)
On a positive note, the breakfast bar is very good, as is the parking. The Outback Steak House across the street, is within walking distance and has always provided me with a great meal. I'm not totally against this place but they really need to clean up their act.
