I stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn for three nights on business. I was very impressed with this property for a number of reasons.
The hotel is ideally located about a mile off of the Interstate. The hotel is located within walking distance to an OK mall and a number of free-standing restaurants (Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc.). Within driving distance, you have access to all of the main big box stores (Best Buy, Target, grocery store, etc.). So really anything and everything you would need is convenient when staying at this hotel.
The hotel itself is your typical Hilton Garden Inn. It is a four-story property with on-site food/beverage outlets (the brand's proprietary Great American Grill and the Ernie Davis Lounge), a small pantry area to pick up water or snacks, a complete business center, a nicely-equipped fitness center (two treadmills, an elliptical machine, medicine balls, and a multi-purpose weight machine), as well as a pool and jacuzzi. For those who like to run, make use of the lighted parking lot, adjoining parking lot with the Hampton Inn, and the mall parking lot across the street.
While I did not partake in the dinner offerings, the breakfast buffet at the Great American Grill was excellent. A complete selection of a buffet and made-to-order items are available. HHonors Gold members receive the buffet daily for free; otherwise the buffet costs about $11/person. Offerings include, but are not limited to, bacon, eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, waffles, pancakes, omelets, cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, assorted pastries, juice, coffee, and milk. A chef is on-site to prepare anything you could want. Service was prompt and courteous. The Ernie Davis Lounge offers a nice selection of bottled beers, complete with some local IPA choices. Free coffee is offered near the front desk, and in the evenings four varieties of cookies are offered for free. Room service is offered.
The hotel facilities and rooms are clean and well-maintained. The beds are the brand's Garden Sleep System and are very comfortable. The workspace is large enough for a computer and some papers. WiFi and wired Internet access is offered at this property and the speed is fairly fast. A small microwave and refrigerator and part of the in-room amenities.
I give the property credit for offering most all of the TV channels in high definition - this is a rarity in my experience. Additionally, the TV channels are ordered alphabetically which makes it pretty easy to find the channel you want to watch.
While the hotel is very quiet, I appreciated the fact that the in-room HVAC unit's fan could be set to 'on' and stay running to provide background/white noise to help me sleep.
Front desk personnel were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of the local area.
