I stayed in 3 different local B&Bs in the Watertown area during my recent business/leisure trip. Staying at the Dexter 1855 was one of the highlights. My partner and I could not get over how comfy we felt from the moment we walked into Deb and Robert's home. They were welcoming, kind, caring, excellent hosts. This couple loves what they do and they do it so very well. You will not be disappointed in your stay at the Dexter 1855 house. It truly is a lovely experience from the room to the wonderful breakfast, you won't be disappointed.

What a beautiful, welcoming place. I travel just about every week for work and it was a treat to stay here! Deborah and Robert are kind, considerate and gracious hosts. The rooms were very clean and adorable, the beds are extremely comforatable, and the breakfast was amazing. This is the first time I wish I had longer to stay away from home..I would have loved to soak up the atmosphere and chat more and then snooze a bit.

I'm still relatively new to B&B's, and was impressed. Great breakfast, and beautiful rooms.

I booked the Maple Room for my husband and myself. I wanted to have a nice romantic getaway while he was home on his R&R from deployment.
The Dexter House is beautifully decorated and our room was spacious, clean, and elegant! The bathroom in our room is very nice with a new walk in shower. The bed was very soft and comfortable.
We enjoyed the chocolates in the room when we arrived late in the evening. We slept in and were excited to head down to breakfast around 8:30 in the morning. Gingerbread waffles with syrup and walnuts and real whipped cream- absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed his eggs over easy with sweet potato hash.
Deb and Bob pay attention to detail and welcome each guest warmly and are very accommodating! We look forward to returning again soon!
