Our room at Chobe was very luxurious, with air conditioning, vanity and sitting areas, indoor/outdoor showers, mini-bar, etc. There is even a front deck overlooking the Chobe River. This camp has 15 rooms and they are individual buildings rather then tent buildings. There were Springbok and monkeys walking around the property and elephants just on the other side of the fence.
We arrived a bit early to the camp and since our room wasn't ready yet, we were treated to complimentary foot messages........really nice!!! After unpacking and high tea, we set out for our afternoon game drive. We were lucky because we saw a leopard which is really hard to find, and also saw many other animals.
After many game drives in a jeep, the boat safari was a great way to see the animals.......no bouncing around on the uneven roads, no dust and wonderful cooling breezes as you cruise around the river to get a better look. We saw many crocodiles, hippos, elephants, etc., etc.
We really enjoyed Chobe Chilwero.More
