This was our 1st time at Compass and we were impressed. Rooms, game room and pool area very clean. I watched as a staff of 5 thoroughly wiped down all chairs at pool and sun deck early one morning. Rooms are small but remember we're at the Jersey shore and properties are often on the older side. We had a 2 rm efficiency which was fine. Room diagram showed table with 4 chairs but it only had 2 chairs which would have been a problem had we wanted to eat in the room. Pool was open late (10PM) unlike where we stayed last year when it closed at 6PM. Close to beach. We wouldn't hesitate staying here again. They also allowed us to use the changing room/shower the day we checked out so we could still go to beach and clean up before driving home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Compass Family Resort Motel. Positives; beautifully clean well-kept pool area although small and very limited lounge chair area considering size of motel. Staff very friendly and helpful...small negativity was the fact that toweling is laundered on site...lots of stains left in bath towels. Never had to ask for toilet tissue; was replenished every day. Rooms are small; suitable for couples with very young children only. Beach access great; cross the street and down the well constructed decking brings you very close to beach. Game room nothing to brag about...just a few machines...motel lacks southern exposure; not owner's fault but would like to switch sides next visit to Wildwood Crest. PS; connecting rooms cannot connect due to dresser up against door entry.

My son and I stayed in a two room efficiency suite (type B). The staff were very friendly. The motel's wireless system did not have web authentication, so it did not play well with a laptop running Linux. The pool is big, and it has something I don't see too often, a diving board and a big deep water area to dive into. Child-friendly recreation area next to the pool. The cable TV choices were limited; no PBS was available. The bedroom door swings into the kitchen area instead of into the bedroom, so it's in the way when using the kitchen area. The room is advertised for occupancy up to 6 people, but the dining table only seats 4. Reasonable value for the price (for 4 people or less).

We liked the favorable reviews of this place and decided to stay here. Everything was to our satisfaction and we'll return. Clean, comfortable and reasonable with a view of the ocean on the upper floors. Block from the beach in a quiet area of wildwood. We chuckled about the noisy exhaust fan in the bathroom but it did the job very well and fast !
Bring shampoo and towels for the beach. Take time to enjoy the mini golf, pool, arcade, or ping pong on premise. Grills and outdoor seating provided. The sofa bed was comfortable ! Definitely family friendly, yet quiet for couples. Old hotel kept nicely in the retro doo wop look.
