Ive been coming to wildwood for atleast 30 years now and this is the second time my family has stayed at the appollo. Besides being overcharged and asked for a $20.00 remote fee the rooms smelled liked a wet cellar. I book atleast 15 rooms a year for family and this year was the worst. The management was so bad that I happened to of had a room on the third floor and the second day I was there my appendix ruptured and ended up in surgery for a few days and in that time my family tried to work with management to see if they can somehow change my room from the third floor to the first! They would not work with us at all! they told us it was our responsiblity to change with someone else that came with us! I tought that was very unperfessional!
they also say parking for residents only! BULL!! you cant even find a parking spot near the motel and when you ask mangement were to park they tell you to park on the street!
Anyone that reads this I truly hope you reconsider booking with this motel because they are the worst business people ive ever delt with.

Our family goes to the Jersey shore every year and we always stay at the apollo motel.
The Apollo's location is perfect, it's on a very nice st. it also sits directly on the beach
(no streets to cross) and the motel has southern exposure all day. Their rooms are very nice
and everything seems brand new and the deluxe rooms are gorgeous. the maids are nice and
friendly and they do a great job and the family that ownes and operates the motel are very nice,friendly and fair. also The pool is heated and clean.
We highly recommend the Apollo Motel.

We booked the room for 2 nights for a total cost of $180.00 as part of a soccer team in town for a tournament. When we got there we were also hit with a $20 key and phone deposit. We open the door, PHEW the stench of mildew about knocked us over. We opened the only window in the room, which of course the handle was broken on to air out the place. The rugs were old and torn in places the shower only put out a fine mist. Which when you have long hair as I do, it just doesnt cut it. I brought along some things to cook up, after all we did pay to have a small kitchen in our room, hmmmm, THE STOVE AND COOKTOP DIDNT WORK EITHER! The place was so filthy I made my husband go out and buy bleach and I cleaned everything before we could use it, the toilet seat had dried URINE on it. I talked to others that rented from our group most had the same complaints, smells, bugs just plain nasty. As for the laundramat..... ITS 1 WASHER and 1 DRYER, try to get soccer uniforms clean and dry for consecutive games with that!!
PLEASE if youre thinking of going to Wildwood AVOID this place at all costs!!

The only things that really bothered me about this motel was the size of the pool. It was small! On the web page and in their brochure it displays a nice size pool that extends all the way to the beach. It doesn't, there is a parking lot in front of the pool. Also it says it is heated it may have a heater but it was never put on, even when asked to.

Not a bad place to stay if you don't mind a bit of a shabby room. Although the kitchenette rooms were quite nice.
