We booked the room for 2 nights for a total cost of $180.00 as part of a soccer team in town for a tournament. When we got there we were also hit with a $20 key and phone deposit. We open the door, PHEW the stench of mildew about knocked us over. We opened the only window in the room, which of course the handle was broken on to air out the place. The rugs were old and torn in places the shower only put out a fine mist. Which when you have long hair as I do, it just doesnt cut it. I brought along some things to cook up, after all we did pay to have a small kitchen in our room, hmmmm, THE STOVE AND COOKTOP DIDNT WORK EITHER! The place was so filthy I made my husband go out and buy bleach and I cleaned everything before we could use it, the toilet seat had dried URINE on it. I talked to others that rented from our group most had the same complaints, smells, bugs just plain nasty. As for the laundramat..... ITS 1 WASHER and 1 DRYER, try to get soccer uniforms clean and dry for consecutive games with that!!
PLEASE if youre thinking of going to Wildwood AVOID this place at all costs!!

Upon first reading this review in oct. 05 I immediately checked her room. Her room did not "smell". She calls the window handle "broken". It was missing one screw, which was replaced. She calls carpet with two loose strings where the carpet meets the kitchen tile "old and torn"? The showerhead was found to be clogged and was cleaned. The stovetop was not "broken", just its pilot light was out. Yes we have one washer and one dryer which is more than most wildwood motels. If anyone needs more there is a laundromat about 1/2 mile away. We ask for a $20.00 key and phone deposit at check-in, which is refunded at check-out minus the phone bill if any. We found this to be an execellent way to insure the return of the room key at check-out. Our maids are excellent and our rooms are very clean, and if she asked we would have sent a maid to her room to clean it extra clean. We never heard one complaint from her, or these minor problems would have been corrected immediately. Most of our quests are repeat customers, and many have been reserving their rooms over a year in advance every year for decades.
