Our family stayed here in august with another family. We had the top two rooms facing the ocean. The rooms shared a huge patio. It was the perfect spot to put the kids to bed and hang out together at night! In the morning we could walk right down to the beach which is free and huge and flat, perfect for kids! The beach never felt crowded either despite the fact that it was an August weekend. The hotel itself is clean but definitely dated, but we knew that going in based on the cost of the rooms for the area. The pool was nice but pretty cool and the hot tub was not hot. The owner was wonderful; very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our stay. I would stay here again, but only if I could have the ocean facing rooms. The views and patio make up for whatever the hotel room lacks!

My family and I first stayed at the Granada about 15 years ago and we would go back year after year. I hadnt been back for 10 years. We reserved 3 nites in room 214 (Oceanfront). I was worried since we hadnt been there in so long. What a relief when we go to the room. It was clean and the balcony was beautiful. Any Jersey shore motel could probably use updating. Water pressure is horrible. There is a great breakfast/lunch place a few blocks away called the Flip Flop. Yummy breakfast. It is a bit pricey for a motel in my opinion but its reliable.

The smoke alarm is SUPER annoying. Just when you use the toaster, it goes off like crazy!
So when we used the built in fan on the wall, it was even noisier! It woke up my son! The air conditioning was not the best... it was only in the bedroom so when you went from the main room to the bedroom, it becomes freezing! The location is FANTASTIC! Right in front of the beach. The pool was great! There is a kitty pool for small kids. It is from 3 feet to 8 feet. In the beginning, the Jacuzzi was not hot. We stayed there for 6 days and finally the Jacuzzi was hot on the last day, but there is a mini waterfall that mixes the Jacuzzi with the pool so the pool turned warm! I went with 6 familys, so 6 rooms were rented. Rooms 210,209,207,206,205,and 204 all have small fridges! Not like the picture on the website. There is free Wi-Fi! The barbque was great! Though, there are only 2. But there are 3 tables. You will have to drive there from the boardwalk though. Maid service, wonderful! The manager would help us with any help we needed, for instance when we had a question about the bbq, she would help us and we had NO problem. 2 of the family's waited a while until they could get in there room on the first day. No problem checking out. No problem with parking. Ice was easy to get! Granada Motel is good, but I won't come back.. :)

We stayed at the Granada Ocean Resort for 10 days in July 2011. We were 4 families. We had consecutive rooms on the ground floor. Check in was great. However, they had shampoo'd the carpets and they were still wet. Unfortunately, the carpets stayed wet for 2 days! Since I have a infant, this was kindof annoying. However, in general, this place was wonderful. The location was amazing. Right on the beach. The pool was great although the hot tub was not hot...it was more like a jacuzzi with bubbles but not hot. The bbq's were great. They were thouroughly cleaned every day which was nice to see since we used them often. The area was nicely gated which is wonderful for children. The washer and dryer are pretty old but the ice machine was a good plus. The cleaning staff was ok.....sheets were alright but the comforter was pretty old and dated. I recommend bringing your own. It was great to have two rooms (living room and bedroom). We could put the baby down in the room and still watch tv in the living room. The efficiency portion (fridge, stove) was also great. The air conditioner worked but was very loud and since it is in the bedroom it was kindof annoying. All in all, a great place for the money. Don't expect a fancy hotel but its clean and very livable. Enjoy! We would definetly go back. Oh yeah, and the ice cream trucks that come by are great! Especially the green Monster Cone truck. MM MM good!
