All of the negatives are true...tight room , very tight bath, kitchen...just a range that you cannot reach well because of the table...wobbbly barely working frig..unhelpful staff ...and the worst thing..the parking lot..spaces are to narrow..you car will surely get dinged..and the cars are your view from your room....if you like paying MORE..( who does?) and getting ALOT LESS... this is the place for YOU

This is my 4th year staying at the Coliseum Ocean Resort. My family is always greeted with a smile whenever we return and we feel like we are part of the family. Debbie, the manager, is available at all times for answering questions or getting help to fix any small problems that might come up. We had a Type A room which is 2 full size beds and has a small kitchenette. This resort has a family feel to it and is located right on the beach. A pizzeria is located downstairs so you don't have to travel far to eat and they added breakfast to their menu in 2011. There are 2 gas grills on the second floor for those who prefer to eat in. For those who do not like salt water, there is also a pool on site.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I was shocked by all of the negative ones on this site and had to put in my two cents! My fiance and I have stayed in a few hotels in the crest that were not HALF as clean and affordable as this place was. Staff is exceptionally nice and accomodating, and you will always see at least one of them cleaning something, emptying garbages, checking the pool, etc.. throughout the whole day. My fiance commented on how we have never seen such an occurance at a wildwood hotel.

Yes, the rooms are a bit small, but they are a fabulous deal for something right on the beach in Wildwood Crest. They're ideal for couples on a budget. I stayed mid-June for les than $90 a night...other hotels in the area (some not even directly on the beach!) would have charged upwards of double that price.

Give this place a try...we did and were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be returning next year!

This was the first time my husband, son and I went to Wildwood Crest and we thought we were going to stay in a resort hotel, as per its name. Well, this place is the farthest from a resort as it can get. The room is like a tiny little cave, the area where the beds are has just enough room for the beds, the TV is attached to the wall like in a hospital room and the dresser leaves just enough room for 1 person to pass at a time. The bathroom is so small that you have to be careful when you sit on the toilet to not bump into the sink! The tiles in the shower stall were peeling. The kitchen area had a microwave that was so dirty I was afraid to open it! The fridge had baked-on crud all down the side - you would think someone would clean that off!! We went into the restaurant for breakfast and left right away as we couldn't stand the smell of grease! The pool was ok, but I didn't go in it. The only positive feature is that this place is directly on the beach, but most of the motels are, so it's nothing special! DO NOT STAY HERE...IT"S NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
