I stayed at the Cara Mara in the middle of May. We had a great room with an outstanding view. Although the room had a pool view you could see the beach (unobstructed) from the balcony. The kitchen was recently updated and the room was clean. Had two queen beds and a sofa bed. Great for my teenage kids. The pool was already opened and cleaned and was heated (85 degrees according the man at the front desk...Gary I think was his name). Although it was on the third floor I loved the room (Room #301) and the view. I will go back again soon. I understand that the Cara Mara went condo so each room is individually owned. I will request the same room next time. I liked the decor and the clean/new kitchen.

I stayed at The Cara Mara for few days memorial week-end. My room was refurbished. It was clean. The front desk lady Kayla was exceptional. She was very pleasant. The pool was nice. The game room was little run down. They had free internet service that lagged but what do you want for free! They had an area behind the building to lock up your bikes. It also has camera to keep eye on them. Maids service sub par

It was several blocks from the board walk. Which is fine. Since you need to work off all that food you eat. Over-all nice experience for the money. I did notice some other rooms weren't as nice as mine (: make sure you stay at room 102! Tom

Cara Mara is great…clean updated rooms; house keeping was excellent front desk staff was friendly and informative great location, highly recommended.

been staying in oceanfront condos, out at the pool (this is the second time). They told everyone to evecuate the pool. Why? Simply put, there was poop in it. Not only did they evacuate the pool, but the pool area because there was an open dirty diaper on one of the lounge chairs, but a large pile of poop in the walkway. we paid money for use of the pool, and now we were denied use. The pool was closed for shock, the icing on the cake was the disgusting parents left everything (including the diaper) on the lounge chair and could not give a damn about the other guests denial of the pool. They were pigs. it made me sick, they dont watch their children either. Nor did the management offer any reimbursement for this fiasco. Never used to be this way, the guests are pigs.
