My wife and I are staying here until our house closing further south. I chose this hotel because its 5 minutes from where my wife works. Never stayed in a hotel before so I didn't know what to expect. We also have a good dog and its been a pleasure having her stay with us without putting her into a kennel. ALL the employees are friendly, with some exceptional ones, as well as the manager.
We were here during the hurricane and could hardly hear the weather outside. So the rooms are soundproofed very well, also that nothing is heard from a room next door or above.
And the area itself is out of the way from lots of stores and other buildings so its very quiet around the area with lots of greenery and trees surrounding the area. And there are plenty of great places to eat, not too far away.
The hotel is in the process of being upgraded a little at a time so not to bother its guests while work is in progress. Everyone has their own tastes and expectations. This isn't the Waldorf or the Hilton, but for the price, comfort, and privacy I'd say it was our best choice. And also that they allow pets. In the future and for any reason we needed someplace to stay, we'd definitely come back to this one!!

If you've spent any time anywhere near the Jersey Shore in the summer,you know how ghastly and over-priced the rooms can be...There are $200/night rooms that you'd be embarrassed to invite a hooker into.

The rooms usually go for around $80-90/night,but the more you stay the cheaper it gets,since they run many promos for frequent fliers.

The staff is very good.Most of them have been there for years,and they are helpful,competent,and keep the place clean.

It's about 15 minutes from the beach on Long Branch,and closer to 25 miles from Sandy Hook,but the drive is worth it,considering how lousy the one really close motel ("The Fairbanks Resort") is,and at how they ask 50% more from your wallet,with many fewer services.

(Just to be fair,I should mention that there's a Comfort Inn right next door to the RR,and they have nicer,bigger rooms at only slightly (10-15%) higher prices...We are loyal to the RR because of the staff and the discounts,and because they have a noon check-out,instead of the 11 AM required at the Comfort Inn.We don't like to be rushed when we're on vacation.)

I couldn't ask for a better location, the rooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family,will definitely come back. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Suppose to be renovated, was not ! One mattress seemed new other was a lump of dead foam with a manufacturer tag which was printed made SEPTEMBER 1994 (17 years old mattress) Go to the Comfort INN Suites next door and pay 15 dollar more for a suite with breakfast and leave the degenerates and homeless at RED NECK INN.
