We stayed here one night on December 27 while visiting New York City. We are a family of five and rooms are usually too small to accommodate us. We had a bedroom and a living area with a sofa bed that fit us perfectly. Everyone was able to pick out something the following morning for breakfast, although no one wanted to wait in line for an omelette or pancakes. We were lucky to find two tables because they did run out of seats. We didn't get to the hotel until 9:00 pm and were exhausted so I can't critique whether the room needed updating. We didn't have any problems with check in or the attitude of the front desk staff. We didn't use the bus service since it cost us as much to park in NYC as it would have to take the bus ($7.90 round trip). It was close to the Lincoln Tunnel so it was easy to get in and out of NYC. It was also close to a shopping center, where we ended up having dinner the night of our arrival. We would definitely stay here again.
