Oh my god...I think I had the same room as What a Dump! Our family had stayed heren for 6 years prior to last year. It is under new mgt since middle of last summer. We had to beg for towles and toilet paper. There were 6 of us and we had 3 kitchen chairs. The floors were stikcy of beer and full of party confetti from the party who was there before. I must have had the Birthday Suite - cause I had birthday balloons on the ceiling, 3 beautiful holes punched in the wall, a door that didnt close and, the Gem of the Sea Gem - old pizza crust all under the bed. I paid 1600 for 5 days so that we could sleep under the cover of beach towels, share chairs, wipe sparingly and dry off with the sheets - oops, I mean, more beach towels. Next year, we will be planning well ahead and let someone else enjoy the Gem of All Gems that is the Sea Gem Motel!!!

Worst experience ever. Rooms were filthy, door was broken, microwave oven cracked and dirty, bed sheets and towels were stained, furniture old and dented, shower curtain moldy, tub dirty, no maid service, beds were uncomfortable and stained, rugs were pieced together and smelled, and price was higher on check in than quoted over the phone. Sleezy and Dumpy!

We booked a 1 room suite at the Sea Gem from the incredibly misleading pictures on their web page. Under new Mgmt, they attempted to charge a $250 security deposit on top of the room rate. The room was completely filthy, pull out beds and chair in liv room belonged in the dump.. Carpet, cabinets kitchen was filthy, only 1 air conditioner in the liv room, which didnt work. Asked for refund, and was told no.. mgmt agreed only after I threw a complete fit. I have yet to rcv the credit on my charge card, so we will see. Mgmt barely speaks English.. I highly recommend that people do not book a room here, unless you are ok with a filthy dump.

This the most horrible place to stay with family babies or kids even alone...they have bed bugs I took a pillow case to sue them cause those are no joke. Kids couldn't sleep sheets stink floor sticki smells like pee in every room bathroom has fungus always gotta wear shoes cause might cause you to get some fungus. Beds have springs stickin in your back the pull out couches got stains and bed bugs blood stains just like all the mattresses in all 4 rooms. When we checked in we had clean towels with stains just like the sheets and pillows. I am telling you if you looking to have bed bugs this the best place to stay. Screens fall and is so noisy every day and night we stood there for 4 nights. Pool never gets clean the people usin it have to clean it...water not blue and clear is more yello then anything....we talked to the managers and tried to let them know situtation and they yell and are nasty...they make promises but never get to them. I can go on forever but will do just not this way....they got something coming and it will be so they can clean the [----] people rent for thousands....oooohhhh don't eva pay by credit card or checks they steal and when u talk to them all they say is ohh well...BED BUGS I GOT PICS DON'T BE STUPID
