“Excellent location, and view”

The Aloha, is a pleasant blast from the past. Great location, and view. There are only a few ocean front rooms, so book early. The property is clean, with a friendly, and effient staff. The oceanfront rooms do not have a balcony, but a floor to ceiling wall window with amazing views of the ocean, which came in very handy during a serious thunder storm. Awesome views, lightening strikes, great.
The Aloha is a smaller property, great for families with smaller children. If you don't want to be in the board walk crowd, this is your hotel

Room Tip: request ocean front

“Clean, Spacious, Friendly, great Location!”

The title says it all. I spent the weekend here with my family and a group of friends. The rooms are spotlessly clean, VERY spacious and comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. The full-size fridge and kitchenette were a great bonus. The location across from a lovely - and free - beach couldn't be better, and I echo the sentiments of many with high praise for the entire staff, from the owner to the housekeeper to everyone in between. They accommodated our special requests regarding check-in and checkout as well as various food and dining needs. This is a great choice for those of you tired of the typical small, dirty, run-down Jersey shore motel with attitude. We're already making plans to return same time next year!

I stayed there with my family 8/7-/14 like I have for the last 5 years and love it as usual! Its perfectly clean, the pool is spotless and the game room is great! The location is the very best on the island too. The hotel to the water is 30 steps! Best location on the island. Bar none. See you next year!!!

“OK But I Won't Be Back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

I decided to try the Aloha on the advice of a friend and since we always go to the Crest we wanted to try something different and stay in North Wildwood.

I usually stay at the Caribbean in the Crest, IMO staying in the Crest feels a lot more like "Wildwood" than staying at the Aloha. The Crest has the Doo Wop motels and other Doo Wop businesses right there and also the walk to the boardwalk is about 3 minutes compared to 20 minutes or so from the Aloha which gets to be long on the way back after a night out.

I have to say the Aloha was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in while in Wildwood and I have stayed at most of the nicer places.

One thing to look out for is the Oceanfront rooms that you enter at the end of the hallway ( this would be the far right room if looking at the hotel from the beach) has a strange effect and noise gets AMPLIFIED and sent right into this room, it's crazy but we were on the 2nd floor and could hear people talking at the pool and by hear I mean we could understand every word while in our room with the door closed and we were up one floor from the pool and at least 40 feet away. At night was a different story which I'll get to.

It seemed that 75% of the people staying that hotel while I was there knew each other. Several people had guitars and not one but TWO nights people ( around 30 people one night, 15 the next) were outside drinking and SINGING until 3am. We had to call the desk several times for this to stop, it was ridiculus and I'm SURE if I stayed there with a group of my friends and did that we would have been kicked out judging by reviews on how meticulus the owners are. What amazed me was they were back at it two nights later and if we didn't call why might have been there at sunrise.

I can tell the owners care but letting a group of your kids friends ( that's how it seemed age wise) stay at the hotel and keep guests up all night was all I needed to never return, that and it just didn't have a Wildwood feel.

To be fair it's a decent place and you can do much worse in Wildwood, you may want to make sure the hotel isn't booked with friends though, we were there the week of July 4th 2011.

My 3 star rating is very much taking into account the good affordable food in the Cafe and the cleanliness of the motel or I would have given it 2 stars because it's simply not worth $200/night for two people

“First impressions mean alot!”

When we first saw our room, we knew that we were staying at a great motel. The staff was very accomodating and the premises are very well kept. The motel is close to the beach but it is necessary to drive to the boardwalk if you have children. The rooms are exceptionally clean as are all common areas. The small cafe offers great food at great prices. Everyone on the staff was friendly and we immediately felt welcome. Special thanks to Chris, Joan, Wade and the cafe staff for making this one of my best Wildwood experiences. I know that the Aloha will be my perrmanent destination.

Room Tip: Clean and spacious rooms.
