I booked a 3 night stay at this hotel, because I thought it was affordable and close to the city. The front desk staff had a nasty attitude and I almost said some unpleasant words to her, but for my friends who asked me to take it easy. Check-in was fast for me, but Lord have mercy the room was FILTHY. I could not keep my luggage on the floor, the carpet looked like it hadn't been swept for days. The curtains had white and brown stains on it, I don't know what caused the stains, but I tried to avoid looking at the curtains through out my short stay there.
OK, they had more cable channels on the TV than most other hotels, but the remote control never worked, I just gave up watching entirely. The bathroom was also dirty and nasty I had to close my eyes every time I went in there, I would have thrown up if I didn't do that. I was able to connect to the internet, but it was almost as slow as dial up and I keep losing connection every 10 seconds.
Finally, I got fed up and booked another hotel in Manhattan, it cost me a lot more, but at that point I didn't care I just wanted to get out of that cesspool as soon as possible. I managed to sleep there 1 night, the next morning I didn't even try taking a shower in the Filthy tub, I packed my stuff, ran to the front desk , check-out and asked them to give me a refund. As of today, I have still not been given my money back. If you know what good for you please avoid this cesspool, I would be misleading you if I called this place a hotel because it didn't look like one to me. Don't try to be cheap like me, spend that extra $60, plus the nearly $100/night I paid at Econo Lodge Forte lee, to get a good place to stay, because in the long run, you will spend more money either re-booking another hotel, or paying a dermatologist to treat some nasty infectious skin disease you'll get from staying at the Econo Lodge Forte lee
