My husband, son and I stayed here Christmas Day night because we wanted to check out Northlandz the next day, which is 9 miles south of hotel. What impressed me was how clean everything was, from the lobby to our room to the breakfast room, which had a tastefully decorated holiday theme, centered around a fireplace, and a flat-screen had the news on, which I like to watch while eating. Breakfast had hot and cold choices: egg, french toast, sausage for the former and cereals, breads pastry for latter.
The bed was comfortable with a decent range of pillows: firm for me and soft for the spouse. There was a central reading light on the nightstand, between the two queen-sized beds, and I noticed it used energy-efficient bulbs. Our room faced the rear of building where there was a bit of woods. I noticed a pond off to the left from the 4th floor and later I took a short walk out to it. Our surroundings were quiet.
The front-desk person was clean and courteous. We didn't use the fitness room, which contained a few machines and weights--again it looked clean.
I liked the wood appointments throughout and felt that the rooms were tastefully decorated, with clean rugs and furniture. We ordered Chinese takeout for dinner and had it delivered. The menu was in the room and the food was very good. We were able to plug into the room's ethernet cable in order to get the free wireless immediately.
This hotel was a very good value and in a very convienent location.

Branchburg New Jersey. Bereavement rate higher than regular rate. was told a different rate on phone. Never again a Holiday Inn. Free breakfast, pathetic compared to other hotels.

Traveled to NJ for a business visit and stayed at this hotel sight unseen and with no recommendation.
The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and avoided idle chit chat (unlike enterprise rental car reps).
Right off 202 just west of pharma central, the hotel is in a good location that good be very noisy but wasn't.
And the high speed wifi was exceptional. No complications whatsoever.
Even found my way to a Starbuck 2.8 miles away despite not being able to make left hand turns - damn NJ.

Overall, one enjoyable nights stay.

Spent one night with family recently; my brother uses this chain all the time when he travels on business and he made the reservations for several of us; three rooms used. I was apprehensive due to the chain title - what does the "Express" mean, actually? Only a quick stay so they'll barely acknowledge you? Not at all. This is a great hotel whose small-scale (but very attractive) lobby makes it feel more like a motel -- maybe that's the "Express" part -- but that ends right there. Scoop up some free jelly beans or snack mix as you head up to your room. Rooms were well-appointed with microwave and refrigerator included, nice bathroom, and very comfy beds and linens. Very quiet and we all slept very well. In-room internet service was free. Big plus right there. Breakfast in the cafe is included with the room rate (which was a decent rate, not cheap but fair). The cafe is nicely decorated and very comfortable; self-service toast/muffins, some buffet-style french toast and eggs (not as good as made to order but not bad); tea and coffee are always available. Cereal and fresh fruit were also available. Not your run-of-the-mill continental breakfast. Fitness room was good, two treadmills, weights, TV. This hotel had everything you would expect from a bigger hotel, just squeezed into a somewhat smaller footprint. I was very pleasantly surprised.
