My wife, myself, and our 3 children stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great feel to it...the pool is wonderful and has plenty of umbrellas for shade if needed. There is a BBQ grill on site along with a great area that children can run and play in. We used this hotel as our base while going to Water Country in Portsmouth. The drive wasn't bad...20 minutes or so. It actually gave the kids time to wind down. We are going to be staying there again in a few weeks.

A mixed experience.

When we checked in at 4 p.m. (check in starts at 3 p.m.) we arrived in our room and found out it was a smoking room, despite the fact the we had requested non-smoking. My 3 year old clearly described it as “stinky”. I called the front desk, and the clerk who answered was very friendly and she cleaned us a non-smoking room while we waited.

They seem to be in the process of renovating rooms, my parents room had new carpet, bedding, and curtains. My room on the other hand had blankets with cigarette burns and stained carpets (they do let pets stay here as well). The outdoor pool area, with grills and tables, is lovely, but was populated with shirtless, smoking builders with a spitting problem - blech!

They do offer a continental breakfast which is pretty much cereal and undercooked waffles from the waffle iron. No fresh fruit.

I don't think I would stay here again, even though it was convenient on the ride back from Maine and the price was very reasonable.

We travelled down for NASCAR and tried to find a hotel closer - we read not so great reviews about this place but decided we just need a place to rest our heads so we booked it ... I am not sure why the bad reviews ... the NEW owners were wonderful! The free breakfast consisted of great tea/coffee and homemade waffles - the owner even gave me a quick lesson on how to make them. :-) We were a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers - the pool was great - the yard was awesome and it was very relaxing. There was nothing dirty about it ... the shower was GREAT ... the bathroom a bit small ... we had TV, microwave and a fridge ... after the races it was nice to come back and relax by the pool, or just hang out with our door open. And the pricing for 5 people couldn't have been ANY better! We paid more for 4 people last year in Manchester and it didn't even have a pool!
We will definitely book this place again next time!

We traveled to New Hampshire with extended family on short notice for a funeral. Mike, Rose, and the staff were very accomodating and sensitive to the situation. Traveling with a 2 year old can present many problems, but the staff went out of our way to make sure we had everything we needed.

The motel is a small, family-owned place and I usually find those to be dirty and lack the service and ammenties of the chain motels. Not the case here! All of the accomodations of a larger place, but with a personal touch. I would definately stay again and recommend this motel to any traveler.
