“Disappointed...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

The scenic location and exterior of this property looked great, but the rooms needed updating. We were "upgraded" to the main building for extra cost ($10 more per night) because we wanted a king size bed. Since I needed a refrigerator, I had to pay an additional $10 a night for that. Beds were hard and lacked box springs (king size bed), carpets were clean, but looked "tired", the bathroom amenities were severely lacking. The soap were your standard issue "Motel 6" variety tiny, miniature bars and there were no extra towels...just enough for two people each day. The housekeeping was below par at times; once, the coffee maker and mugs weren't washed, and the next day the regular coffee packet was not replenished.
There was a continental breakfast, but limited.
Pros were free parking, wireless internet and free shuttle to the airport.
Bottom line, as a frequent travel, this property would be classified as a two star in my estimation.
Wouldn't return.

“convenient for flights in and out of manchester, nh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

highlander inn is a great way to prepare for an early departure from nh's "queen city". quiet, comfortable & clean with park and fly packages and 24 hour curbside pickup and drop off.

“Can't beat the location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

We stayed here for one night before catching an early morning flight out of Manchester. Location couldn't be better for easy rental car return. Hotel had great space & very nice, friendly staff. It's an older property and could stand some renovation. For what we wanted it was ideal!

“Great stop next to the airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

We spent an overnight here while dropping off family members at the Manchester airport. It could not be more convenient--one could easily walk to the airport, but there's a free shuttle. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, free internet, tasty enough breakfast, and friendly folks. All at a reasonable price. Can't expect more than that.

“Sufficient but quite tired”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

We stayed here out of necessitie because we were just too tired to drive home one evening after a late flight arrival. The man at the check in was in a rumply wrinkled shirt and there was a curio cabinet in the foyer which sold three boxes of fabric softener and canned dog food (this just seemed odd and not displayable in a glass display case). The room was affordable but we found the bedding to be very worn. It was thin and yellow, although I hope it started that way because when we asked for extra pillows those cases were whiter but still way too overwashed material. We had a king bed which only provided 3 pillows and no extras in the room. Therer were only two bath towels provided in the room and the water pressure was so low I had difficulty rinsing the shampoo out of my hair.
We skipped the breakfast. There was pre-served bowls of yougurt which I do not find appealing especially after I saw the help peeling a waffle from the machine with his fingers and putting it on a guests plate. We decided to skip the breakfast all together!
