“What a special memory”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

We stayed at Bishop Farm B&B this past summer, and what a special memory it is for us. Such a peaceful and wholesome place; great for taking a break from the daily grind. Annie and Maggie really do make it special with their warmth and open friendliness; they made us feel like we were their favorite guests ever, but of course that was just their nature making us feel so welcome. Food was wonderful, but it's the warm memory of the place itself and our hostesses that will bring us back. In terms of location it's a bit more NW of our usual White Mtn haunts, but from there we discovered the Northeast Kingdom area of Vermont and loved it for a great day's touring by car. Love to go back sometime.

“Late Anniversary Gettaway in November”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

We stayed in the suite the weekend before Thanksgiving to celebrate our third anniversary. It was our first night away from our son who was just over a year old. We selected a private room on the third floor, but when we got there, we were the only guests - so they offered us the suite. Maggie had just painted the suite (it didn't smell of paint) and was putting some finishing touches on the room. It was beautiful and Maggie has really good taste in decorating. They put a new small space heater fireplace in the sitting area of the room which was wonderful!

We could here people downstairs, but that was at 7pm. We spent the whole night in (enjoyed a bath for the first time in over a year, and sat around in the sitting area in robes eating treats from Chutters) so it wasn't a surprise to hear people still milling around in the dining room and kitchen. I guess if you want a supper quiet room, stick with the third floor - but we didn't mind and the suite's sitting area with the space heater fireplace was wonderful!

Annie was hard at work making jewelry for a show (not complaining, we met and talked with her a couple times and she was very nice but really didn't need much and pretty much kept to ourselves), but Maggie was always around, so helpful, and a pleasure to talk to at breakfast. The breakfast was awesome with a homemade chili sauce to put on the farm fresh eggs (and homemade applesauce, pancakes, and sausage).

We loved this place and will be recommending it to others.

Room Tip: The Suite is spacious and has a wonderful sitting area, but if you want it to be quiet the whole nig...

“So lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

My husband and I stayed at the Bishop Farm B&B in late October, we used a Groupon so we got 1 night free with a nice bottle of wine in our room when we arrived! The family here could not have been nicer! The B&B is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing! With everything homemade and fresh from the farm. Couldn't stop eating the apple coffee cake! The breakfast area encourages conversation but it isn't forced, there are 2 big tables that can be shared and then a few small ones.
They have 3 floors of rooms in the main house and also little cottages, but the cottages don't include breakfast but you can purchase breakfast baskets.
They also have a TV viewing area with plenty of comfy seats, my husband stayed up and watched football with the owners and had a great time!
I highly recommend this B&B, its close to the highway, easy to find and just a short drive to area towns and attractions like Flume Gorge.

Room Tip: There are 3 floors in the B&B with rooms on all 3 so make sure to ask what floor your room is on...

“Loved this B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

We stayed here in September and really enjoyed our stay, we felt right at home. Annie and her mom made us feel so welcome and loved the home theatre room. The inn was beautiful and the room was quaint. The breakfast was amazing and enjoyed talking to other guests. Annie was very helpful in recommeding things to do and places to eat. The area was really nice, especially with the fall with foliage. We will be back and will definately recommend this B & B.

“Loved this place... don't miss it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

This was a real find! I came here as a part of a New England tour with a friend. I have always stayed in B&B's when I travel, and have been to many. This was the first of 7 places we stayed on our whirlwind two-week trip - and it was by far the best! There are so many good things to say about Bishop Farm ---
The room was really lovely - lots of light, quiet, luxurious - and the bed was super comfortable!: the breakfast was great; the setting is idyllic; the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming - and obviously love what they do.... There was nothing that I could have wanted that wasn't addressed.... everything at Bishop Farm is very professionally done, and yet very personal - the best combination in my book!
